Abilities

Ferryman's Duty (Passive) - Charon's basic attacks marks the target with one stack of his passive to a maximum of one stack. Ally basic attacks consume the stack causing %current health magic dmg towards the target and increasing ally movement speed by x%. The passive can only take place once every x seconds.

Tides of Styx (Q) - Charon moves his oar causing a small wave to appear that pushes all enemy units in a targeted direction and dealing %current health magic dmg. If the targets collide with a wall, they are stunned and are dealt the same %current health magic damage again.

  • The ability is cast like Viktor E
  • The length of the projectile is about 1/3 of Viktor E

Pool of the Damned (W) - Charon creates a small vortex of souls that slow enemies within the area and lasts an x amount of seconds. While within the pool of souls, enemies take %current health magic damage. If an enemy champion dies within the pool, the duration of the ability is refreshed and another one can be casted.

  • The ability is about the same size as Morgana W

Lantern of Fear (E) - In a small cone in front of him, Charon brings forth his lantern, fearing his enemies for an x amount of seconds and applying nearsight to all enemies hit for x+1 seconds.

  • The ability is slightly wider than Morde E while having a slightly shorter range.

One Ticket to Hades (R) - Charon channels up to 6 seconds on his boat. During this time, all allies can click on Charon to come with him. After either Charon presses the ability again, all allies joined him for the ride, or after 6 seconds, Charon and his allies travels to their intended destination. The path to their destination is highlighted and warned by Charon screaming out the name of this ability. Once there, the boat explodes, knocking away all enemies away from the boat.

  • Range is 5000 at all ranks
  • The ability has a travel time

Lore

Charon was an ancient, yet powerful spirit who transports all souls within the Blessed Isles to the afterlife. Due to this mortal realm, he did not have much power to take on a physical form. However, because of the Ruined King's madness and the corruption of the Blessed Isles, he was finally able to manifest a physical form that allows him to guide souls into the afterlife. This was not an easy job as many of the souls within the isles do not want to leave their mortal realm. So, he patiently waits for the moment they break each other down because it would allow him to easily drag the poor souls of the shadow isles into the afterlife.


Playstle

Charon is a ranged support who excels in the disruption of the enemy team during team fights. His passive allows his allies to slowly whittle down the enemy front line. Meanwhile, Tides of Styx, allows Charon to displace any key threats and put them in horrible positions with a possible bonus of a stun. His w can zone off enemies away from their own team as the magic damage it creates is nothing to laugh at. Lantern of Fear can also be a powerful engage and peel tool. With flash + Lantern of Fear, Charon can potentially disrupt multiple enemies through creating bad positioning. It can also force any enemies who managed to get past the frontline to back off as getting hit by it while in the middle of the enemy team, is almost certain death.

Charon struggles against enemies who can pressure him from far away as the ranges in which he can cast his abilities are not very high. This either forces him into dangerous positions or force him to do absolute nothing.
