Do you think Riot missed an opportunity not releasing Blood Moon skins during winter holidays?

I think the reason they weren't released is that other skins were coming out and those skins didn't really fit with the , well, "holiday theme", Christmas, snowdown, new year eve, you get it.

However, I have a couple friends who I intended to gift one of the skins. Since they didn't come out, and they also didn't let me know if they had any other skins they wanted, I just gifted them some steam key and called it a (christmas) day. I'm still going to get Blood Moon Thresh for myself, but I don't think I will gift any blood moon skins if they come out past 1/6 .

So , the question is:

Do you usually gift Snowdown skins during Snowdown or do you gift whatever you think your friends will like more?
