Energy Regen Item? Maybe a Mastery?

I was just thinking about the fact that there are energy regeneration runes, which most likely aren't even really used all that often. (I don't really know because I don't have them) but there aren't any items in the game that offer any form of energy regeneration.

Firstly, I definitely do understand that there are only 5 champions who even use Energy as a resource. Akali Kennen LeeSin Shen Zed

So it would certainly be a little extreme to make an item, or multiple items, or even a specific mastery solely for the benefit of less 4% of total champion pool (5/133 = 0.037)

However, could something possibly be added to an item, or simply be a passive that only benefits Energy users for added gold value without being a negative gold value for champions who do not use that item?

I would think that a mastery could be easy to work in. Just take something like Meditation and add some form of energy regeneration stat to it.

And I'm sure I will get some people who will ask me why this is even necessary. Ultimately, it wouldn't be critical, but I just find it a little strange that there simply isn't something already. Energy users are designed well enough that they typically do not have much Energy issues, however, much like mana users getting large mana pools or having lots of mp5, something like this could simply eliminate all issues.

I do acknowledge the fact that something doesn't exist isn't necessarily a good reason for it to be added.

However, I do not think the fact that something doesn't exist is a good reason to not consider it as a possibility.

Sadly, I fully expect to get downvotes for this, but it is really just a topic that was on my mind and I thought I would throw it out there in case anyone wanted to discuss it.

Be gentle.

The thing is, either the item would be so good they would all get it, or none of them would. All of these champions need different stats so there is that too. PLUS these champion's kits are designed around their energy needs. Would kind of mess things up if they added an item to rid them of energy problems. Not to mention if they wanted more energy, they could just boost their innate restoration on their kits as the game progresses or they could reduce costs.

It doesn't excist because Energy is easier to manage than mana.

What do I mean? Well, mana doesn't come back as quickly, very slow actually, so that's why you can increase it.

Energy comes already super fast back, it's kinda, useless to buy an item that has its regeneration. Runes are only small, that's why it works, Items are big, that's why it just wouldn't work.

I bet they already tested something at RIOT.

Energy regens do nothing for you compared to other runes. You want to take runes that will help you win short trades because long skirmishes will just deplete your energy regardless of how much you have.

Energy champions are designed to deplete their whole bar with one combo unless they consider their passive requirements (Akalis mark, kennens stuns etc.) giving them an item that messes with the current setup does create problems instead of solving anything.
