So you're telling me that you made a Blood Moon game mode, and you made a "Demon Herald" or a Blood Moon skin for the Rift Herald,

... AND YOU DIDN'T MAKE A BLOOD DRAGON

Or maybe it would be called a Demon Dragon, .. but you get the idea.

The updated dragons with the different models are nothing short of beautiful and I think that they are missing out on the opportunity.

It's not worth the resources to add an extra dragon just for the reference though. They could spend that time creating a reference to make a chroma for someone.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I agree it's a missed opportunity.

I would be surprised if they didn't have the asset, or at least a concept for it.

I imagine that they simply couldn't find an easy way to incorporate it into the game since it is so fast paced.

They would have to consider when and where it would spawn, how many points it would be worth ... things like that.

I think if it had an effect, it should automatically give all teammates the demon mark when taken.

Or it could just replace the Elder Dragon and do the exact same thing, just to have it in the game.

It would increase game time cause people want to see it. :D
