Completely Overpowered Champions #1: Blue Flame Brand

Having the weird thoughts that I do and after having some of these about the potential of "peak of power" skins (Spirit Guard Udyr, Blood Lord Vlad, etc) I thought it would be cool to remake champions in different forms, only pretty much without a power budget. Overall, these champions have increased base stats with completely ridiculous scalings and abilities, and of course, the map would be adjusted to suit them. Each page will feature this (copied on top for the basic info for the new people) as well as a short lore segment, with a quick backstory and visual changes.

The we'll have the kit, with a link to the original kit if you want a reference, and the changes coming next, laid out in bullet note format. Please let me know if you like this concept and these ideas, and if you want to see more (I have a lot more!).

Blue Flame

It had taken so much of the spirit’s remaining power, but it had done it. Luring the Rune Mage to its cavern was no easy task, and neither had been destroying his consciousness. However, that was all in the past. It had all of the strength it could ever want, combined with the added magic of the World Runes. Now that Ryze had fallen, Brand was free to unleash the power of the Runes and bathe Runeterra in an endless blaze.

Kit

Brand is now a DPS mage similar to Ryze who excels after unloading a rotation on an enemy for heavy area damage and then following up with a barrage of empowered abilities to destroy weakened enemies. Despite having lower CC, Brand is more durable and mobile, as well scaling heavily off of mana and being only limited by his mana regen, which increases by hitting burning enemies. In this form, his appearance changes slightly, becoming completely blue and gaining Ryze’s pants instead of the standard pair. Blue fire flows freely off of him and his eyes glow. His hands are perpetually wreathed in fire, and his whole body is covered in tattoos similar to Ryze’s, only more wild and crude. His voice gains an echo and becomes deeper, and he acts more uncontrollable and insane. His particle effects are all blue and look more “arcane”, similar to Ryze’s.

Base Stats:

  • Range reduced by 50
  • base mana and mana growth up
  • base health and regen lowered
  • MS increased
  • overall decrease on ability range and cooldowns
  • increase on mana costs
  • Blaze interactions removed

Blaze:

  • base damage of detonation changed to 150-450 (+5-12% Mana) (+80-120% AP)
  • priming time increased by 1s
  • area decreased
  • hitting abilities vs burning champions increases mana regen by 50-250% for 2s

Sear:

  • stun removed

  • slower projectile

  • CD resets vs burning targets during detonation cooldown or if it detonates them

  • Damage changed to 70/90/110/130/150 (+50% AP) (+4% Mana)

  • If CD resets, next cast deals 100/115/130/145/160% bonus damage, grants 15-35% bonus MS

           Pillar of Fire: 
    
  • Smaller area

  • Pulls enemies slightly towards center on damage

  • Deals 100/145/190/235/280 (+60% AP) (5% Mana)

  • If used on detonated champion, triggers secondary explosions around them, 1 every 2s for 6s, 45/60/75/90/105 (+35% AP) (+1% Mana)

Conflagration:

  • Intensifies burn damage on targets
  • Damage changed to 10/35/60/85/105 (+75% AP) (+5% Mana)
  • Very low cooldown
  • Increases damage by 10/15/20/25/30% on consecutive hits on same enemy, max 5 times
  • At max, gains 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% bonus Magic Penetration against them
  • Refunds CD and 50% mana cost on kill

Pyroclasm:

  • No direct projectile
  • Intensifies next ability
  • Q deals 250% bonus damage and explodes on first enemy hit for area damage, gains empowered cast MS after use
  • W gains 100% bonus area, stuns on pull, deals 100% bonus damage
  • E deals area damage around the cursor after activation (no longer targeted) for 3s, deals 150% bonus damage, gains Magic Penetration for duration
  • Passively grants shield for 150/250/350 (+45/55/65% AP) (+10% Mana) for 3s after detonation (15/12/9s static CD)

Numbers are all theoretical, I actually don't have any balance and I'm just trying to make something cool. This post is pretty much the baseline for the rest of the OP champion concepts, so it's going to be my numerical reference. If anyone has suggestions for what to make next, how to make the post/formatting better, or how to make these more fun/interesting, let me know! I just started with Brand since he's one of my mains...sooooooo......
