Just coming off of some hardcore offmeta, so share any stories of your weirdest pick and how it worked!

I used to play a lot of Brand and Viktor top, and it didn't really work unless I was against a squishy. I laned against a Malphite as Brand and that was hell, but toplane Viktor actually worked a few times.

My most recent game was Elise mid, and it was really fun. Tried to creatively counter a Syndra. Ended up with a double and a triple.

I love doing this on KogMaw the little cutie can be such a beastie bruiser, and it makes people so mad that they can't kill him and yet he can still do 40k+ damage by end game.

Spam your speed and watch as the enemy team desperately tries to kill you, buy only hp items, and top it off with a GA

You won't do much damage but damn is it fun to dick around at the speed of sound while you get 2 chances to fuck up

I played him with mf a few times. It was brutal. Siver also good if she knows what she is doing or premade and ult so you can run up to ult.

build item 3027 item 3060 , and watch the enemy mage struggle to keep up in cs under the turret, unable to roam without losing his turret or multiple minion waves.

worked pretty well for me throughout my climb out of gold, this season.

the champion is legitemately dumb. her only purpose in life is to put so much pressure on the enemy, that he cant influence the game. youre just a push bot in lane, and a second support in teamfights. at mid mmr, people still get cheesed by her. you can not pick an easier champion.

I love playing mid Morgana. I used to do the RoA but I've been going for Morellonomicon lately for the mana regen and higher CDR. I also love just being able to walk into bot lane at level 6 and guarantee a kill or multiple blown summs (or both?)

I've yet to try the Banner of Command though, is it still good on her now that there's no AP?

Tahm/Naut mid (albeit I don't think many consider the latter that "cheese" ). In either case, the former counters most melee mids (zed, kat is a skill matchup of sorts, irelia is hard countered) while the latter becomes a bit like a bulkier viktor in that you can push the wave easily and then gank side-lanes.

I tried sion a few times, and he seems tougher to use mid (tahm's cc is easier to land and he can roam to places that sion can't with his ulti). While he is slightly bulkier, unless you have a specific team comp built around him then tahm is just better and easier to play overall.

Kinda. I'm one of those people who tries to solve the meta problems (whether it be the assassins, or stupid stuff like camille) with off-meta answers. Tanks just happen to be one of the few things I've been dabbling with mid in an attempt to counter them.

Yeah, I actually have a pretty interesting story revolving around that.

Back during the early parts of season 6 I was experimenting with off-meta supports (things like pre-work malz and jarvan). For a stretch of like 20-30 games I played a variant of tank ekko support that did really well into stationary adc's, and kept telling the "group" that I played with on here that he seems like a sleeper OP with a ton of potential. They thought I was crazy for trying it, yet 3 months later tank ekko/fizz were "all the rage".

Tank Thresh top.

Pick up AD runes and a dorans blade. This helps you CS and poke ridiculously hard with E max. Rush a frozen gauntlet, follow up hard on ganks and drag people under your tower. Don't ever try to all in though, you have no dueling power, if Riven or some shit goes in on you then E and disengage. In mid game you're a lot stronger than the average Thresh because you have solo lane gold and exp.

RekSai top

Despite the nerfs she's still a powerful duelist. You W gives incredible sustain and you're manaless. Rush Ravenous Hydra and buy lots of potions to abuse this. You can also hold max fury and press E on the enemy when they try to CS. The real power of Rek'sai top comes from her tunnels, create a solid line of them from your turret to the wave and you become utterly ungankable and unengageable. Buy a ZZ'rot and splitpush forever, the enemy team has to be extremely coordinated in order to deal with you properly. Burrowed Q is great for poke and CSing from range in dangerous matchups.

Nasus Jungle

Large monsters give the same amount of stacks as a champion, so powerfarming jungle actually gives you far more stacks than a top lane nasus would get. Wither is pretty nice for ganks and Q is really nice for guaranteeing a smite. I forget the exact build, but I prefer to build regular juggernaut items rather than maxing CDR and going full tank like regular nasus.

Yasuo ADC

The passive shield, wind wall and E make him surprisingly good at avoiding poke and harass from the enemy ADC while his 3rd Q can harass back. He farms extremely well so he shouldn't ever be too far behind. He follows up on ganks and support engages extremely well and come mid game he two shots carries. Builds just like a regular Yasuo. Masteries though should be warlords plus 12 points in the defensive tree, health regen, blocking poke, increased healing and whatever the fuck. The hardest part is keeping your teammates off tilt.

Honorable mention: Amumu top. Your trades are ridiculous because you block minion damage and minion AAs reset your E.

honestly adc yasuo with support braum is fun as hell to play

ive done it a few times with complete strangers but the synergy is so good you win by smashing your face on the keyboard anyway

Nunu and Galio back when no one played them. I seemed to be the only (low elo) play to use them. They have always been fairly powerful, just no one uses them.

with 6 items yes, i get movement from runes and masteries and teemo's speed up passive shred build to aid temmates and its pretty decent dps inescapable with mallet, really hard to duel. Can't be bursted fucks over dps champs with his blind

My favorite cheese pick is actually best as a counter cheese pick. I love going Nunu top into stuff like Teemo Heimerdinger or any other cheese that thinks they are going to have a free lane against a melee bruiser

silly teemo snowball doesnt care about blind and donger turrets are just healthpacks that count as cs

Fizz Jungle. He has a distinct weakness in the jungle but when he hits 6 his ganks are inescapable. No counter play. It's pure cheese. Doesn't matter if they're under tower or behind tower. It's guaranteed kill everytime.

I do want to try Singed Support at some point.

Fiddlesticks Been playing Middlesticks a lot recently. They recently lowered his CD on E too, the spell you max first in lane. Basically you spam E on the caster minions, it's free poke if it bounces to the laner, and waveclear too. Once you hit 6, go into the bottom side brush as though you're roaming bot. Usually the enemy will finish clearing the wave then try to either follow your "roam", or at least go to ward the bush you're in. When he does this, ult out at them and it's usually a free kill. Start Morello into Zhonya's, then whatever you want after. He's great against most mages, and assassins too thanks to his silence and fear. And draining the cannon minion is some nice sustain as well.

ezreal top against any melee champion is fucking terrible. i played irelia vs ezreal top and he killed me in like 5 autos from level 1 and i felt like the biggest bronze of all time
