Player vs Bot Demands

There needs to be some improvements to player vs bot games. I would actually leave intermediate bots about where it is, but I think there should be two new levels of A.I. beyond the Intermediate level.

It is my understanding that bot games are intended to help new players learn the game if they don't want to dive straight into PvP and get slaughtered. From my observation, the bots up to intermediate level do NOTHING to prepare players for any of the following critical mechanics found in PvP.

I would like to see some of these things in the next level beyond Intermediate (lets call it Expert) and most, if not all of them in the last (Master)

  • FULL CHAMPION POOL
  • Masteries
  • Expert level 18, up to capstone
  • Master level 30
  • Runes
  • Builds
  • Intelligent / adaptive builds. I've literally seen bots with 3 Zeals at the same time, ... need I say more.
  • If none of the players are dealing magic damage, why are the bots building magic resist?
  • Jungling
  • Objective control
  • Red, Blue, Herald, Dragon, Baron
  • Wards
  • So I have seen stats for bot games that say that they place wards, and I have seen instances where they do, but I would really like to see better ward placement that makes sense.
  • Mechanics
  • Intermediate did a pretty good job of scaling up the mechanics when it comes to things like dodging skill shots, and map awareness. I would like to see better use of ability combos, applying more poke before engagement, better positioning ... to slightly elaborate further, I think bots should hold off engagements until certain abilities have been used, such as escapes as an example.
  • and I want to add that there will need to be included a relevant margin of error.
  • Farming
  • Just step up the efficiency a bit.
  • Team composition
  • I'd like to see bot champion selection with a purpose, and A.I. that adjust play according to this team composition.

I'm sure there are others that I have thought of, and will think of, but I ma going to end it here. Please feel free to add to my list and/or give me your opinions.

I also completely understand that incorporating all of these things to perfection will be virtually impossible, but I would really like to see a good attempt at these.

Actually just recently bots learned how to use flash both defensively and offensively so there is something for you.

And just yesterday Amumu Bot BMed us with his lvl 4 badge after he died near the end of the game.

I posted it on plays TV you can check it by looking up my summoner name. I am on my phone now at work, can't post the link :)

I'm sorry to sound so harsh, but you have to face the cruel reality that the most Riot could do for bots is Doom Bots in the near future. Have you seen the sorry state of bots recently? Bots on the Twisted Treeline items were buying removed items (namely Veigar buying Blackfire Torch) for years, seriously only recently did they remove that trait of Veigar Bot and it was there since the item was removed... years ago. Bots also sometimes randomly use heal when it almost full health, forget towers are where they are walking, and just generally behave foolishly. Why work on bots when the competitive scene and skins are what earn money? Oh, and did I mention bot games are infested with player-made bot accounts? Seriously, bot games are a joke now and will remain in a bad state for a long time.
