Need some feedback regarding my Celes concept, and advice on potential changes

Celes, the Dark Crusader

In the above link, I've got a juggernaut Champion whose ultimate allows her to rapidly drain her health in exchange for a huge amount of power. The issue I'm having is that it feels a little mandatory to use it in fights, rather than a "should I take the risk?" decision. Since she's a Dark Knight-type, she's meant to take huge risks by exchanging her health for power, but using it wrong results in... you get the picture.

Sadly, I haven't gotten as much feedback as I'd like these days, and asking Rioter expert opinions generally just ends up being ignored. So if anyone is interested in taking a look at Celes, do you have any thoughts on her kit and whether I should shift it up?

Her kit seems pretty solid for the theme you're going for. My only issue would be that her look (and to a lesser extent her feel) comes dangerously close to a 'Dark Crusader Leona' skin.

But to answer your question about her ultimate Ebonmere:

It currently does a lot:

Pros:

  • Removes HP costs of her abilities.
  • Grants her bonus effects on her abilities.
  • Grants her bonus Lifesteal (on top of the passive lifesteal she gets just from it.)
  • Grants her bonus AD.

Cons:

  • She loses all HP regen.
  • Continually drains her HP while toggled on.

In my opinion, I think you should make all of the basic ability bonuses she gets while using Ebonmere (AS on her passive, ignoring bonus armor on Q, CC immunity on W, the Fear on E) innate to those basic abilities themselves. Then you can do something like this for her R:

Pros:

  • Double or triple the effectiveness of the non-damage components of her abilities (all the aforementioned stuff).

Cons:

  • Double or triple the health costs on her abilities. (If you use % current health it should be fair, yeah?)

That's just my perspective, IDK if it conflicts / stays true to the vision of Celes that you have. You definitely picked a tough problem (trying to get the "should i / shouldn't i" risk-reward right.)

Also, if you want to check out my thief champ and see how she holds up, I'd like to see what you think of her progress. #ShamelessPlug
