Maybe make him mortal enemies with Gnar? Unique interactions between the 2, Have his ult turn him into a massive killing machine. Plus it's been ages since we've seen champion rivalries. I think the last one was Graves and Twisted Fate if I'm not mistaken(seriously correct me if I'm wrong).

In actuality, velociraptors were about the size of chickens, had tails that made up more than half of their body length, and were covered in feathers. The "velociraptors" in Jurassic Park are really a species called Deinonychus, identical to them in every way except the name. They changed the name for the movie because deinonychus isn't as fluid to pronounce and doesn't sound as intimidating.

That may be how it was explained in the movie, but in the real world its just a deinonychus by a different name. Spielberg read michael chrichtons Jurassic Park novel, which used the deinonychus, and asked if he could keep the dinosaur but change the name because the name didnt sound intimidating enough.
Also fun fact: the word raptor comes from a root that means feather, and many latin genus names for birds use the same root word.
