[Champion Concept] Nihilla, The Nothing

"Some believe that the value of zero is nothing, that it isn't even a number, that it's worthless. How blind they are."

Support/Tank N/A (No-Attack)

Passive - One is the Loneliest: Nihilla can hide in the shadow of an allied minion or allied champion by clicking on them. Nihilla can direct the attack of minions. The unit Nihilla shadows gains Nihilla's bonus stats respectively. Nihilla absorbs 50% the damage taken by the unit Nihilla is shadowing.

Q - Be Divided: Nihilla crawls from the shadows and gains a melee attack that deals 10% (+XX% ad)(+XX% ap) the target's total health in magic damage.

W - Feel Nothing: For .5 seconds, Nihilla and the unit Nihilla is shadowing takes no damage or crowd control effects but can not attack nor activate abilities for the duration.

E - Become Nothing: Nihilla launches a small black hole in a line that consumes the first enemy struck, damaging them for xx% ap and causing them to be untargetable and rooting them for .1 seconds. Their speed is also reduced to 0 and slowly builds back up.

R - Gaze into the Abyss: Nihilla lunches towards an enemy champion, thrusting the target's mind deep into the Abyss, forcing them to witness that which is beyond comprehension, absolute nothingness. Fearing and reduces the targets AD/AP and vision to 0 and their armor and magic resist by half for 3.5 seconds.

Better moveset:

Passive: Nothing Q: Nothing W: Nothing E: Nothing R: Nothing

This joke: Unoriginal

better kit: passive: when stealthed, gains untargetability, and cannot be seen by wards or anything else. Q: disappear W: disappear E: disappear R: You guessed it! disappear all cooldowns are at 1 sec and the disappear lasts for 5 seconds no mana uses energy you get all abilities at level one lel if this was a thing Evelynn hey i am the one who is invis! who are you? wait where are you! argh

Ok great idea over all loved the passive, but it really seemed more like an ability than a passive, (i mean you have to click, so that makes it more of an active than a passive)

"Passive - One is the Loneliest: Nihilla can hide in the shadow of an allied minion or allied champion by clicking on them. Nihilla can direct the attack of minions. The unit Nihilla shadows gains Nihilla's bonus stats respectively. Nihilla absorbs 50% the damage taken by the unit Nihilla is shadowing." at a bear minimum this needs a duration limit, and a CD between casts (see? sounding more like an active now?).

can Nihilla cast her abilities while in shadow form? also is there an indicator on the unit that Nihilla is hiding in the shadow of?

Im not trying to control this champion concept, but if you can allow me to make a few suggestions to help make this concept flow a bit better, I think it could work out really well.

Q seems simple enough that it could be the passive, here: Passive - Be Divided: Every time Nihilla crawls from the shadows, she gains a melee attack that deals 10% (+XX% ad)(+XX% ap) the target's total health in magic damage.

and the Passive becomes the Q, here: Passive - One is the Loneliest: On cast Nihilla hides in the shadow of an allied minion or allied champion for 8 sec by clicking on them within 175 units. Nihilla can direct the attack of minions. The unit Nihilla shadows gains Nihilla's bonus stats respectively. Nihilla absorbs 50% the damage taken by the unit Nihilla is shadowing.

everything else is cool

cool concept, definitely original. questions tho.

  1. does she even have a body?
  2. can she attack if she isnt controlling a minion?
  3. what happens if the unit she is hiding in dies?

This is really interesting! However, I don't like the idea of her not being able to do damage other than abilities. Maybe you could give her another passive like graves has:

Nihilla cannot basic attack. Instead, she will have a zone around her that does (+xx% ap)(+xx% ad) damage per second.

Similar to sunfire cloak.

Azir also has a more "normal" non-activatable passive (but lets not get into that :)) yeah sure, the thing is that I kinda see the Passive as it is now as kinda of a "set up" ability like how Azir needs to use his W before anything else, or how Syndra is strongest when she uses her Q first. I see that the passive seems better as an ability in that sense whereas the Q is simple enough to be simplified further into a passive, compared a quite complicated and actually having the Q as it is now become the passive, makes her a much stronger champion, and gives the player more control

if the Q where the Passive, instead of being a one time active, it would happen every time she comes out. the way the kit is worded now: Nihilla can always enter a shadow, because its her passive, BUT she can only leave when Q is available. So when Q is on CD, if she is not in a minion's shadow, then she can't control where she goes! I am assuming that the ally champion would.

this also brings a ton of questions: when she is in an ally champions shadow, who control the movement? what happens when the ally minion or champion takes hard or soft CC? what happens when the ally minion or champion dies? What happens when that dead champion has Guardian Angel or a Zilean ult on them? what happens when the minion that she is in the shadow of gets selected as a TP point what happens when an ally that she is in the shadow of dashes, or uses flash, or uses TP? What happens when your ally is Shen or TF and they activate their ult? And then even further what happens when that ally is Kalista's Soulbound ans she activates her ult, or what happens when ally (OR enemy) Tahm eats the ally that you are in the shadow of? Will you stay in the shadow of ally's under the effects of Yorick's or Mordekaiser's ults? How does she work with Nocturn? and his Q? what about Zed and his W? Which shadow will she stay in with champions that have copy abilities? whose shadow will she occupy when selecting Kindred? Will you still stay in the shadow of an ally that is Charmed, knocked back or pulled by an enemy hook type ability? what happens when the ally is stunned by a Bard ult? what happens if the ally's shadow happens to be outside the Bard ult? How does Brand's, or Varus' ult work here? How about Illaoi's E? What happens if Urgot lands Noxian Charge on Nihilla, and then she enters a shadow, what effect will his Q's have? on that topic what happens if Nihilla jumps into a shadow before any ability that is unit targeted (on her of course) actually hits her? Such as a Kayle Q? What happens to enemy champion passive stacks such as Varus or Vel'Koz when Nihilla jumps into a shadow?

I love the whole theme of this champion. I think she (he?) would need a little tinkering and balancing obviously. Nihilla seems maybe a little too dependent on other champions, but I would hate to lose the hiding in shadows aspect. Very cool. The ability names worked very well too
