[Champion Concept] Gha'Krum - The Void Treant (void support)

Guess who is back, back again, guess who is back, in the game. Yes, concept creation master is back. Yea, i know that i get many downvotes, but that doesn't matter, because "opinions" of anonymous trolls doesn't matter. And, pushing a button is not an opinion.

Disclaimer: i made representative look for this champion using spore, because i can. Have something against it? Then sue me.

#4. LORE

The Void This world holds many different forms if life. May of them can be compared to life in Runeterra: bugs, birds and similar creatures. These creatures have similar anatomy, operate on similar instincts. And while Runeterra is covered with grass, tress and flowers, not much plant life can survive in the void. However, there still exists plants in the void, who not only can defend themselves, but even hunt other creatures in the void. One of these plants are called Void Treants. These proud and strong creatures slowly drift through the void. So does Gha'Krum. One of the oldest and strongest Void Treants, he is bit different from all other void creatures.

Hunger For Calm Life Different from other void creatures, who hunger for destruction, domination or simply to feed on others. Gha'Krum hungers for eternal peace, endless calmness. World where where only plants and peaceful animals live. But, the void in such place, where thus hunger can be quenched. Yet, there is a world, where this might be possible - Runeterra.

New World One day, Gha'Krum stepped out of void portal into Valoran. Where he stepped, land responded. Absorbing nutrients and magic out of the soil where his roots were placed, he learned a lot from this new world. He walked around, visited places and gathered power, gathered knowledge. While slow in his tracks, he steadily moved toward his goal.

Monologue Nature is speaking to me, i head the voice of your world. This world crying, suffering while you ignore it. Your "human" wars ravish the land, and for what. You are harming the only thing you can't live without. Plants can live without people, people can't live without plants. I, as sentient plant, will not stand against this injustice.

Together United After some time in Runeterra, Gha'Krum met Maokai. Each of them instantly understood what they are to each other. They agreed to help each other, to work for nature, cleanse land from darkness and evil. Two treants joined forces. Gha'Krum: this world, what we gonna do? Maokai: our work is never over. I want to return to the forest, and place to belong. Gha'Krum: shouldn't whole world be like that? Maokai: we alone can change whole world, we can change it bit by bit, protect the nature. Gha'Krum: we are not alone. If people refuse to protect the nature, then they will be forced to do it.

Same Cause, Different Roads While working for same goal, for better world for their kind, they didn't actually agreed on what should have been done. Maokai thought that peace and working together is the key; Gha'Krum thought that, if somebody disagreed, then they needs to be forced to agree. And that was possible, because as a Void Treant he had ability to create special spores, who could control brain of other creatures. Control of others was not an issue to him, so he done what he wanted.

Take Control In his endeavors to overthrown the world, Gha'Krum met Zyra. Plant-type sentient being, she was more close to his world views. Gha'Krum: what are you? Are you like me? Zyra: i am nothing like anything else. I am flower with thorns. Gha'Krum: humanity is an enemy against creatures like us, plant life and whole world. Zyra: so, you might be like me. This garden is ours. Gha'Krum: you, i like you. Zyra: what are you planing to do? Gha'Krum: either humanity joins us or i will force them too. Join me, join my goal, lets make this world into eternal forest. And while they did joined forces, which angered Maokai, they didn't become true allies. That is because Zyra have her personal secret agendas. She is an independent predator, so she helps Gha'Krum only for her own amusement.

Eternity Flower Together with Zyra they created a special plant, magical flower, which grows rapidly eating solar energy, magic and even flesh of animals. Not any kind of plant, but with power to take over the world. Its root grew out into the world, many flowers grew out of them, attacking everyone who approached it, absorbing magic and everything out there, only to supply Gha'Krum and Zyra with extreme magic power. However, people of Valoran didn't stand for it, started to fight against Eternity Flower, so war brought out in east of Valoran. Men against plants, freedom against control.

Cool concept. Several days ago i seen people asking for void support champion. That video you done looks very good. Only thing, which wasn't for me, was lore. I, as not native english speaker, have hard time reading long stories. I would appreciate short summary of you champion story. Still, good work.

I checked your links. All i can conclude, is that you are obsessed with author and actively provides reason for him or her to leave this forum (can't find a single post on EUNE forum, though).

I am not good with english and i have to translate a lot of things, but even i know that he or she is using satire in those links you provide. That is for comedic purposes.

I do agree that people should tell where they got images from, so that other people would learn about the authors of them. Nevertheless, the law of fair use allows people use images of other people for non-beneficial reason. That is why it is called fair use law.

You talk a lot about him or her being toxic, but while he or she might have bad attitude, you appear to be way worse. If he or she actually acts unfriendly to get attention, then you not only provide attention, but make him or her look better.

If you want bad people to be viewed as bad people, then don't act like western feminism which makes rape look good. Just ignore him or her.

Ok, so much to translate.

Lets start here. "I'm by no means obsessed" yet you posted many links of what he or she did. It hat would be true, then you wouldn't remember what he or she did. I do not appreciate lying, because it is clear you keep tracking author of this post.

I don't find it funny, but i am sure there are people who would find it funny. I don't know hot to say it in english and google translate make it sound strange, but where i am from there is a saying: every person is the best comedian in their world, but that is a world of one man. This saying means that, if i said i joke and i find it funny, that doesn't mean other people find it funny. IT can ge best joke in the world for me, but other people can find it completely unfunny.

I am not trying to defend author for jokes who aren't funny. I don't know him or her. All i can see is awesome champion idea and some guy who attacks author. Maybe they know each other, but attacker didn't say a word about this champion and only tries to be offensive against author. I don't believe good champion should be dislikes only because you don't like the guy who made it. Kanye Omari West is wery unpleasant person, but that doesn't mean that his music is bad. He can be the worst person in the world, but that will not change that his music is pretty good.

Wow, you have so much talent. It demotivates me a little bit, because if person like you get so many dislikes and attacked by toxic people, then i don't stand a chance. My champions only gets 3 likes each, and i thought that was normal. I know i am not very good and still new here, but holy cow. How can you have so much talent and be so hated?

Your void champion even have voice. I don't even understand how that is possible. I am blow away.

I am sad, because person with such talent nearly stopped posting so good champions. I don't know what to say. Your champions look awesome and you are very talented person. You do not deserve to be treated like that.

You might have misunderstood something there A lot of people think his concepts offer interesting new ideas and are quite interesting, the problem is that he can not take any form of critisism and immideatly suspects that everything is conspirating against him.

Felt a bit perplexed by Lonely Flames reactions at first too, but I stopped feeling bad for Regonas after he claimed that three seperate judges were out to get him, because he didn't win a contest

I don't want to argue anymore, because i don't want to have enemies. Author clearly have many enemies, because this and other champions he showed me were great, but got many dislikes. No wonder that come judges of some contest eventually ends up being his or hers enemies.

As far as i can tell, there at least several people who, like Lonely Flame, hates him or her, because they love hating.

For me, english is hard langue, my parents speak better russian, than english, so i have close to no practice. It takes time to translate what people write here. But, nothing Lonely Flame said in any of his comment concerned this champion, unless i get translation wrong. I don't know what is the argument between them, but author seems way more educated and polite.

I don't think it is right to celebrate bad behavior, which now clearly is done by Lonely Flame. Author made goo champion, spoke pretty politely, yet he or she is disliked a lot, while Lonely Flame is showing bad behavior and gets likes for that. Why is that?

Has it ever occured to you that people downvote due to your post being bad or your paranoid comments? Your not perfect. Heck, I woulda upvoted you as you had a complete and not uterly bad and cleche champion concept which I love seeing. Yet when I saw you had a champion concept with something about "autism" i think and all your paranoid comments plus your flare war baiting I decided not to... The chances are if you disable comments your vote would not be so bad, and/or just not even mention all the downvotes you get. Push this aside and try a clean slate. Your sowing the seeds for a fire, then freaking when the fire starts only to sow more seeds.

Well, heal is strong, but AOE have very limited range, whole ability cost quite a bit mana. Also, keep in mind that this champion can support only with one heal and one hard CC. Some other support have many more abilities to support ADC: Alistar heal, knock up, knock back, face tank while diving Bard heal, stun, mobility, time freeze (R) Blitzcrank pull, knock up, silence Taric heal, armor aura, stun, damage aura

Hmmm.... This passive is pretty cool (The death seedling part). The one thing i think is that the void isn't really a tree/forest kinda place. Treants and the void don't mix well and we already have Moakai as our Treant. Ok concept, although I suggest you don't even mention the downvoting just so people won't bring up the topic at all. :D Best O' Luck!

This is a fair point, but it just seems like a Treant doesn't fit what we currently know about the void. But we know very little about the void and maybe it has a forest or treants. Just seems like if there was a Mage champion from Piltover who didn't use any form of tech. Doesn't seem to fit all that much, but RIot has surprised us before.

The passive seems a bit too strong. I think that you should make it so that you can only have one spore in a champion at a time, so not all 5 champions on your team are spored. Putting a spore in a new champion should remove the spore from the one it's already in.

Well, you can put passive only on 4 players. Also, keep in mind, that passive have 30 seconds cooldown. So, in order to put it on all other champions, you will have to went into their lanes. This means that your ADC will occasionally will be left alone to fight 1v2.

To put spores on every champion, you will have to spend 90 second. During start of the game it is possible, during mid game this is challenging, during late game this is challenging. If champion dies, then you have to meet him and reapply spores on him/her.

It is strong passive, but require a lot of work to keep it on with full strength.

30 seconds is about the time it takes to get to each teammate. Maybe less so you would have a delay but not much. I suggest you make the cap 1-2-3 at each stage of his ult and make the cooldown 45-60 seconds. or longer.

Does the ally also benefit from the spore mana and health regen? Also it's a bit unbalanced for the spores to last until ally death, they need a life span.

Also what if allies killed with active spores had a shorter respawn timers

Nope. Allies having it would be pretty strong for duo lane.

About respawn, there could be two options:

  1. Player stay as seedling until seedling expires or get killed
