I'm not complaining or anything, just wondering how some Champ concepts get 50 comments in 2 days, when I posted mine 2-3 days ago and I only have 2 people who commented. Do they use external sources? I would like to know so I can get more people to review my post. The more detailed a concept is, the less likely you are to get comments on it from passers-by, simply because it's a lot to read. This is also why skin concepts tend to get more attention, because they're to-the-point.
The best way to get feedback is to offer feedback to other concepts, and ask for feedback on yours in return.
Thumbnails with intriguing images or seemingly impressive art has a lot to do with it. The algorithms Riot uses for its forum sorting/filtering is also a big part of it, since many casual forum-goers use the default sorting method of "What's Hot" instead of what's "Most Recent." If a thread gets some early clicks/likes/comments, it gets placed higher on the algorithm and then it just turns into a snowball effect. A "Hot" thread gets hotter because it's put in a more publicly visible spot, and then people who skim the forums notice a thread that has a lot of likes, so they click on it, like it, comment on it, etc. The growth can quickly become exponential at that point.
I understand the feeling, I used to post a lot of ideas that I really took some time thinking and developing in other game forums, but because they had no art as I suck at drawing, they fell into oblivion quite fast, the only one that managed to reach up to 3 pages had images taken from google, simply images makes the topic better, even is the idea is quite meh, I recently posted a concept about a champion called Seyfert, and even when its a bit complex, I got it out in some hours, it just have 1 answer, and its already down, yet over 70 views, no one gives opinions, nor do them even read it fully, even when I tried as hard as I could to keep the explanation simple.
For me it works like this: "If you don't have art, don't even try to post your ideas" I do wish you good luck so your champion concept gets the review you want
