Ryther, the Scoundrel Rogue

Ever since I first picked up League 4, almost 5 years ago, the same thought haunts me. The game lacks a true rogue-type character. Nah, not assassins or highly mobile characters. Like the classic RPG bleed/poison/stealth based heroes, that rely on skirmishing and making a fight unfair as possible. Like, sure, some characters like Talon and Shaco can kinda sate this hunger, but Shaco's clunky and Talon's cool but it just doesn't hit the target.

I'm well aware that nothings to come of it, but no harm in sharing some thoughts and leading a discussion, right?

So, without further adieu; I present Ryther, the Scoundrel Rogue

Ryther is a skirmisher with plenty of dirty tricks to leave enemies to perish from wounds they didn't even know they had. Through debilitating poisons, and precision strikes that leave his foes' wounds flowing, Ryther can slip into the shadows or leave the targets to sleep through their own doom.

(Passive)Lacerations Every auto attack applies a bleed that does 10-90 (+15% of bonus AD) true damage over 5 seconds. This bleed can stack up to 3 times, and although stacks fall off one at a time, auto attacking a target at 3 stacks will refresh all duration's on said target.

(Q)Comatose Powder |Cooldown: 12 seconds|Mana cost: 80|Range: 400 throw range (cone would extend about 500) Throw a flask that makes targets in an area fall asleep for 1.75/2/2.25/2.5/2.75 seconds. Though targets can be woken up by any damage other than Lacerations or Crippling Poison, if Ryther wakes them up with an auto attack, he deals 5/20/35/50/65 (+40% of bonus AD) bonus physical damage, and silences them for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds. If Comatose Powder is cast at max range, it instead explodes in a small cone instead of a area circle.

(W)Crippling Poison |Cooldown: 20-16 seconds|Mana cost: 30|Range: Personal Ryther's next auto attack applies a virulent poison that slows enemies movement speed and attack speed by 1%, that slowly increases to 10/15/20/25/30% over the duration and deals 20/40/60/80/100 (50+% of bonus AD) True damage over 8 seconds. Each stack of Lacerations increases damage by 50%, and decreases the time it takes to reach max slow by 1.5 second. (Max: 150% bonus damage, 4.5 second faster slowing rate) Casting in stealth does not cancel.

(E)Shade Stride |Cooldown: 15 seconds|Mana cost: 65|Range: Personal Stealth and gain a burst of 100/125/150/175/200% movement speed for .5 seconds. The stealth persists for 3 seconds. During the stealth, Ryther gains 15/20/25/30/35% attack speed. This effect persists 2 seconds after Shade Stride ends. If a champion dies while under the effects of Lacerations or Crippling Poison, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 50%. (Instant reset if both were on target)

(R)Night's Rush |Cooldown: 80/62.5/45 seconds|Mana cost: 80|Range: Personal Automatically cast Shade Stride, without consuming the cooldown. For the next 8 seconds, Ryther's next 3/4/5 autos gain 150/250/350 range, make him blink to the target, apply 3 stacks of Lacerations and don't break Shade Stride's invisibility. (Side note: His base range would probably be 100. 25 less than the average melee, for reference. Meaning at level 16, his range would be the same as Urgots, or 50 less than Sivir/Lucian's during Ryther ult)

Assuming an average combo would be q to sleep, aa-aa-aa-w-aa-e out, and the Ryther had 320 AD (120 base, 200 bonus), the total damage would be: 2285, pre armor mitigation. Not including crit/attack speed/extra attacks. Keep in mind that a big chunk of this damage is over 8 seconds, minimal, but it is also unaffected by resistances.

Math is here: p: 90/180/270 + 90 = 360 w: 250 + 250 = 500 Combined total of p+w: 360 + 500 = 860 q: 65 + 80 = 145 4 autos: 320 + 320 + 320 + 320 = 1280 Combined total of AAx4 + q bonus damage (Pre armor mitigation): 1280 + 145 = 1425 Total damage dealt(Pre armor mitigation): 1425 + 860 = 2285

That's all for now. Would this champion fit in well with the League of Legends universe? Could he use a nerf bat, or some love? Let me know what you think, and thank you if you got this far!

Reading through this reads the passive OK, lemme stop you right there. Twitch is the only champion in the game with a true damage DoT, not to mention the fact that it stacks. And his has NO AD ratio and is 1-6 per stack, based on his level. It also had no ratio.

Either make Lacerations physical damage or make it deal about 1/10th the damage it deals, because right now that true damage DoT is, in fact, busted.

Also, notice that no assassins in the game have silences anymore. They tried it with Leblanc (original Q, Sigil of Silence) and they tried it with Talon (original E, Cutthroat). Both were busted and both caused nerfs to the champions, until Riot just removed the silence from them. Why? Because an assassin who can make it so that his target can do nothing to stop them other than run is unbalanced.

W, again, an absurdly high true damage DoT. Again, either make it deal next to no damage or make it physical.

Alright, the E and ult both look interesting, unique, and not busted. The biggest thing I have a problem with is that all of his damage is in true damage DoTs that deal significantly more than any true damage ability that isn't reliant on something else should be to get off (as an example, if Darius ults a target with no stacks of Hemorrhage on them, he deals next to no damage, but if they're at full stacks, they're probably dead).
