Its useless to even ask for it when it already is canon. If the lazy bum actually used 5 minutes of his life to do some research in the client and Universe pages, he would have known that asking the question was waste of time to begin with.

They've been changing lore all year. Katarina and Talon, the two most prominent characters for Du Couteau, haven't been updated yet. And in Cass' new lore, it only mentions her family, not specifically her Du Couteau family.

Not sure if you've noticed but the lore team gives zero shits about new lore being loyal to the old. I'm pretty sure the upcoming post we're going to see from them is also going to confirm that once a rewrite happens there's fuck-all the playerbase can do to convince them to undo it.

Katarina is now two lesbians that cut themselves with a sword hoping to heal the world and they're now a mudermonster assassin out for revenge and Talon is their adopted sister who has to live with the burden of being trans and an evil murdermonster assassin

In seriousness though I don't think they're going to replace it since Cass didn't have her family relations retconned, but if they scrap the Du Couteau family they're probably just going to turn Kat and Talon into Swain's new lackeys or something.

I'm fine with a lot of the story being the same but the name itself "Du Couteau" could be changed... It sounds more like a title (an awkward one at that) rather than a family name.
