To any Rioters: What are your thoughts on a dancer Champion?
I think I've finally gotten a proper kit down for one, but I'd like to know what you guys think a dancer Champion should do.
My thoughts on the design are that a dancer should be fast, maneuverable, and darts around a team fight rapidly. You are constantly able to keep pace with even the most agile carries, and are capable of making plenty of power plays when used right. However, as is with actual dancing, screwing up is extremely easy. Being in the action means you're a target, and if you don't walk that tightrope just right, you're gonna get annihilated. As another tradeoff, you don't get the ability to poke people from a distance like Sona does; you gotta do things up close and personal.
Most supports out there aren't great at keeping up with maneuverable ranged carries like Ezreal or Lucian. Braum is one of the recent few, and while other supports can haste themselves, they can't gap-close to allies or go over walls without Flash. However, Braum is more the "presidential bodyguard" type, not someone who dashes from Champion to Champion in quick succession. My ideal dancer would be more like Lee Sin in terms of agility, but with different specialties.
Lore-wise, a dancer Champion would use her moves to inspire the rest of her team into action, aiding them in pulling off their attack (kinda like Ryze helping Yi kill Warwick in the first League CGI trailer). Think Olivia from Fire Emblem: Awakening or other dancers like that.
Long-story short, I feel a mobile dancer Support Champion is just what the doctor ordered. But what do you guys at Riot think?
