New sightstone Upgrade (would like a rioter's feedback)

Hope I'm in the right board. While talking about supports and "troll" supports, two problems came out: vision and supports' jobs. Now this isn't the first time the community highlights those particular problems: vision, since preseason nerfs to it, has been lacking and support is an incredibly undesired role both for the lack of respect we get and for the vision bot we are supposed to be by other roles (especially since preseason nerfed the whole vision). I was thinking about why people force supports to become the vision bot for the team and it's simple: there are far too few options for vision and none of them is really desireable for other roles. Some specific champs might buy sighstone or the green jungler upgrade but it's rare, I only ever see lee sins with it and they don't use it for the vision. So I thought to myself: for what other classes there might be an upgrade of sightstone? We have 2 for tanks (Ruby and Eye of the Equinox) 1 for ap supports (Eye of the Watchers) and one for utility and sustain (Eye of the Oasis) so what do we lack? One for Ad champions. Am I crazy? Well probably, but that's not the issue here, the thing is: we have 2 classes (Juggernauts, and Fighters) in the game that use pretty much the same stats and thing is, those stats are: AD and Health. So while writing my post, I thought about an item that would work for them:

Eye of the Giant: -Recipe: Pickaxe item 1037 + Sightstone item 2049 + 400g. (Total: 2075g) -Stats: 350 Hp, 35 AD. (maybe 400 Hp, 30 AD or 300 Hp, 40 AD I don't know, numbers can be tweaked!) -Unique Active - Warding: Consumes a charge to place a Stealth Ward that reveals the surrounding area for 150 seconds. Holds up to 3 (maybe 4) charges which refill upon visiting the shop. A player may only have 3 Stealth Wards on the map at one time.

Now I know what some of you might think:

Question: WTF is this thing? Answer: This item is a sightstone upgrade mainly thought with top laners/junglers in mind (obviously some supports may want it for more damaging builds). The item is fairly cheap and gives stats that every juggernaut/fighter can use.

Question: But why should I buy an item like this? It's bad, it gives low tankyness/damage! Answer: If you're a 6/0 renekton you won't buy it (you won't need it probably). But if you're behind this item offers optimal stats at a fairly cheap price and also will give you 3 (or 4, numbers can be tweaked) wards so that you can prevent any gank from the enemy and help with the team vision, you can also take red trinket with it and clear enemy wards so that your jungler can come to help more frequently and you will get a comeback more easily!. This item is also good for when your lane is getting camped, even if you're not particularly behind, since it will show you and your team that the enemy jungler is indeed near your lane and you can play more safe, and with less pressure since you know what he's doying, and waste the enemy time. This way your jungler can more easily counter-jungle or counter-gank and the rest of the team can make more aggressive plays since they know the enemy won't be ganking in the near future maybe taking turrets and/or dragons indirectly helping you too! And it will also give some good cheap stats if you're forced to farm under tower because of the camping and you're scared of a dive.

Question: Wait I get all of that, but the building recipe? What can I do with it if I get a lucky double and don't want it anymore? Answer: Chances are you won't buy the item in one single swoop since it would mean you're fairly ahead. so the recipe is thought with the chance to actually build something else instead: the Titanic Hydra. You might notice that Pickaxe and Ruby Crystal are needed respectively for Jaurim's fist and Tiamat two of the items you need for the Titanic Hydra (which gives similiar stats, but better sustain and more damage).

Question: Why you didn't pick insert low tier item in the recipe? Answer: I didn't pick Long Sword, since it would create a far too big difference in power from the item and the recipe: the item is made for when you're behind, it should give a linear power up while building it, not a small buff that translates into a big power boost (since it would only make the situation worse). I could've used Caulfield's Warhammer, Jaurim's Fist, Serrated Dirk or even Phage but for all of them the upgrade is too weak and is too cheap and/or would've lost something (either in stats or passive).

Question: So then what items have good synergy with Eye of the Giant? Answer: A lot of them actually: Titanic Hydra if you want to take a more damage-y approach, Sterak's Gage if the enemy has high burst, Frozen Mallet or Iceborn Gauntlet if you want better utility with your tankyness, and really any tank item can synergize with it since Health and AD are always good on the champs the item is designed for!.

Question: Wait a sec, I just noticed this... why the heck is it called "Eye of the Giant" if it's not built out of Giant's Belt? Answer: Shit, didn't think you would be smart enough to notice that >>. On a more serious note: Giant's belt is not a great item for when you're behind, you can't build almost anything out of it and this makes it often feel like a wasted slot also the items it builds out of are pretty expensive so even if you get lucky and get a kill or two you wouldn't be able to build them and you'd have a slot you can't do anything about and yes, I know you might build chain vest or Crystalline Bracer, but they would force you to build either Warmog's Armor or Dead Man's Plate, which might help you survive, but won't help you get back at the enemy. Also since it's built out of Sightstone adding another health item would be confusional: from where does it get the damage?. And yes also because I couldn't find a more fitting name: giants are big, tough and strong and 3 of the 4 upgrades of sightstone are called "Eye of" so the name is quite fitting.

Question: Are you an idiot for thinking this item up? Answer: Yes I'm an idiot for thinking about this item... well OK, not ONLY because of that, come on, give me a break!.

Question: Isn't the item a bit too good? Answer: it's designer for a specific type of champions and it gives stat that only they can effectively use, let me make an example: If an assassin were to build it he would become slightly more tanky, but he wouldn't get enough damage to do his thing unelss he picked it up as 5th or 6th item, for which there are far superior items (GA, Sterak's). Let's make another one: an adc actually it's the same principle with assassins, the item is far too weak to be picked by an adc even as 6th item and even if they did, by that time someone esle will have already bought sightstone and the game will be already in team fighting stage, where it's really rare to roam alone and fights are usually in the open. Really the only ones who can build it and use it decently are fighters and juggernauts since both scale well with both AD and Hp, and even on them unless they're behind or just want some more vision, there are far better choices.

Question: HAHAHA u a %%%, dis itm sukcz nd i fk ur mum, downvoted!! Me so evil!!! Answer: WOW, that's a huge amount of hate and repressed rage there kiddo, calm down. First of all, I made this thread to propose an idea I think would make the game more enjoyable and balanced and to hear constructive feedbacks and criticism about it (and possibly have the great honor of having a rioter's opinion too about this), and if you don't care about this I have to kindly ask you to leave and go into another board. When you're more calm and if you think you have some constructive feedback for this, I will gladly welcome you here and hear about that. So if you have to downvote me, I would kindly ask you to give me a good reason about it, about what you didn't like and/or what offended you so much.

Question: WTF? Why's this so long? You can't expect me to read ALL of this?!?! Answer: I don't want to sound rude but: I never forced you to. If you're not interesed, pelase ignore the thread and go elsewhere, if you're interested but don't want to read the huge wall of text, just read the item itself and telle me what you think bout it, be it positive or negative, as long as it's constructive I will gladly accept it!.

Question: Why is your english so bad? Answer: Because english is not my native language, I'm from Italy (EUW) and since I find this board to have more interaction, I post here. If you're not happy with that, I'm sorry, but I can't do much about it.

Question: Why did you think about this in the first place? Tell me more about this!. Answer: I covered this in the main post, but I will gladly explain it here again with more details: I'm a support main (especially a Thresh one) and I always read about supports getting abused (it happens to me a lot too) by other roles, especially mid laners and adc. One of the last "new" trends is to blame supports for not warding... even though I say new, it's always been there, I just recently found ANOTHER person complaining about it. After talking with this person, even though we had kind of a different point of view at the beginning, we came to an agreement: the problem aren't support who don't ward, the problem is vision itself!. Now I don't particularly mind Sightstone, I play tanky dudes so I kind of like it in my build, but a lot of people don't like it since they play carry supports like Annie, Brand, Morgana, Lux, and usually they are mid laners who are forced to play support, so they don't want to bend to the support unwritten "rules". And they are right, we supports are people with feelings too, we play to have fun, not to be warding bots! But since sightstone is such a cheap item and gives such bad stats, a lot of people force it on the supports who usually are champions who have a lot of gold in theyr kit so they can just build cheap items and still be relevant, making it so that supports don't need much gold to begin with. Now I'm not saying it wrong to get vision, what I'm saying is: why is the support the one who has to do it? Why not the top laner? Or the jungler? Or any other role really? Who decided that? I remember that even riot said they don't like this abusive behaviour against supports. So I thought: why is it that only supports are forced to buy Sightstone? Because it's upgrades are bad for everyone. They give low stats which almost no champion can actually use if not supports, who have a lot of gold value in theyr kit that can make up for the bad stats and still work somehow. This forces the mentality of "support is the teams bitch" or "support is the ward bot" both of which are extremely offensive and are wrong (this also happens to some extent to junglers, but they have it far better, and I know it I used to main jungle before support). Now sightstone is not bad per se, but since it's upgrades aren't that good for other roles, it forces that bad mentality onto people, and that's why I thought about a new upgrade for it! An upgrade that top laners and jungler could buy withouth losing too much! This should, hopefully, change a bit the mentality of the "supports are warding bots" into a more open minded one. Instead of saying "the support didn't ward" it would become "no one has warded" since now support don't have the "exclusive" access to wards. Ap champs can use the "Eye of the Watchers", pure tanks have either ruby or Equinox and those who want more sustain have Oasis, but they're still all built with supports in mind so a mid laner or a top/jungler will hardly buy them since they won't work in a solo lane, this item on the other hand isn't and will work ONLY in solo lanes since it won't give gold generation of any kind (hence why it's also cheaper). I love this game, I've been playing since Ahri's release and, like a lot of people lately, I'm not too happy with the state it's in, so this is one of my ways of trying to better the game I love so much, and I know I might get hated for this post, but I don't care.

Question: Is this item designed for Lee Wi ehm... Sin? Answer: No, thi item is not designed for Lee Win specifically, but I do know he would be the best abuser of this item since he lives off of cheap items and wards. AndI know this might open a Blue or even worse Red smite Lee, becoming an indirect buff to him, but riot knows what it's doing and would do something about Lee if they thought him particularly out of line.

If I will find anything to add I will edit this post, untill then thanks for reading and for the feedback and have a nice continuation of whatever you are doing.
