Mordekaiser's Harvester of Sorrow

I'm not too sure if it's a bug or is intentional but Harvester of Sorrows always takes the nearest target (champs over minions) at least in aram. This does not only happen with smartcast, but even with normal point and click cast, I only happened to play him in aram so I don't know about SR or TT, but in aram you can't target, it will always take the nearest champ (or minion if there are no champs) which is pretty frustrating.
