Disguise of the Allmancer

Materials:

  • Lost Chapter item 3802

  • Haunting Guise item 3136

  • 800 Gold (3200 total)

Stats:

  • +80 ability power
  • +300 Health
  • +350 Mana
  • UNIQUE – EYES OF PAIN: + 15 magic penetration
  • UNIQUE; Passive: Nearby summoned minions deal an additional 10-20 (+1% max Mana) magic damage with their auto attacks.
  • UNIQUE; Passive: Kills and assists restore 20% of your maximum mana.

I created this item to give "Summoning"-Champions like Zyra, Malzahar and Heimerdinger a nice niche item as well as providing an alternative build path from Lost Chapter. By granting both Mana and Health as well as a mana scaling it also synergises quite nicely with Rod of Ages and Rylai's, giving Summoning Champions if desired more survivability in form of Health in exchange for having no CDR due to the lack of Morellonomicon. Many "summoners" build Rylai's as a core item most of the time anyways. At least I have seen quite a portion of Rylai's-building Malzahars, Heimerdingers, Elises and Zyras. The mana restore Passive is just the same one Morello's has if you wondered.

Explanation for the name:

I wanted to specify the name around the summoning mechanic so the "-mancy" part, as in Necromancy or Pyromancy, should be self-explainatory. The "Disguise" part is a pit trickier though. You may or may not know this but "-mancy" or rather "-mancer" means "charmer". So by "Disguise" I mean a magical mask that alternates the appearance of the wearer for every being they summon to something familiar (like making Malzahar appear like an actual void monster to his voidlings), giving the summons a "Feeling of Familiarity" so to speak, thus granting them more power.

Idea is solid but I feel it would be slightly over powered.

I mean even just 10 + 1% max mana on a 2K mana heimer means every turret he placed gets extra 30 DMG per turret auto.

Considering that all the turrets have ~2.8AS (they shoot 3 times per sec) thats extra 90 DPS on every turret from this item.

Triple it for a full setup and sudenly heimer does extra 270 DPS. Thats a huge increase. If he gets rylai and this + pen boots he will have 33 MR pen for these 3 attack speed beasts.

I mean the item is pratically an ardent censer for summoned units. Meanwhile Malzahar won't benefit nearly as much as his voidling have 1 AA per sec. (Then again he can force you to stay in place and suffer as 4 of the criters are eating you with extra dmg for 4 sec)

Besides you need to do the gold efficiency calculations:

3200 GOLD item +80 ability power => 80x22.75 = 1820 +300 Health => 300x2.6 = 780 +350 Mana => 350x1.4 = 490 UNIQUE – EYES OF PAIN: + 15 magic penetration => 15x31.1 = 466.5

Total stats 3556 Gold Item costs 3200 => 111% Gold efficient (pretty good considering it has a passive that boosts your summons and also has a mana refil passive of item 3802 item 3165 )

While Liandry currently does 4% current HP/sec (with rylai) that still only amounts to 80 DPS (when enemy is 2000 HP) and goes down to 40DPS at 1000 HP enemies. Then to 20DPS when they are 500HP.

Meanwhile this item offers heimer a crap ton of extra DPS no matter what current HP the enemy has.

For the record Liandry is only 97% Gold efficient without the DPS burn.

If you make it something like just 1% of max Mana I wouldn't mind it existing.
