New Support Summoner Spell

My idea is for a new summoner spell to be created, particularly designed around the support role (although obviously anyone that desired to use it, could).

It would be the vision spell. It is designed to function in a similar way to the item 2049 , but with a 1:30 cooldown between placements. The difference would be that the vision granted by this spell would be the same as the item 3363, but with a smaller casting distance and be an untargetable ward. It would have a 1:30 cooldown between each charge of the spell, with each ward staying on the map for 2:30 (It could be 3:00 but I like the idea of needing to time your new vision rather than just replace the same one all the time). It could store 3 charges that accrue similar to Heimerdinger's Q.

Basically my reasoning for this is that it would free up the support from having to buy a sightstone (which would be a useless item if it didn't provide vision) and it allows the support to build more team friendly builds, damage builds, or whatever build they want to go with their champion. It would also provide opportunities for aggressive warding in the enemy jungle, opening up new options for the support early/mid game. It would allow the support to start with item 3341 and just change the dynamic and expectation in bot lane.

You could then, as an added option allow some of the "Support" items (item 3301, item 3303 item 3302 , etc.) to only be purchasable by someone who has the vision spell, although I don't think that this would be necessary unless they started getting abused.

Thoughts?

http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/2/21/Clairvoyance.png/revision/latest?cb=20140115125838?noredirect It was a 60s CD summoner's that revealed a location for 5 seconds. It was removed in 5.22 (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/patch/patch-522-notes) because it was hard to balance it so that it's useful without being OP. It was kept underpowered as a result, and ended up just getting removed.

Although, you're suggesting something slightly different. I'd suggest adding a passive effect on summoner spells, but Riot doesn't like invisible power.

a similar version of this used to e.... just read comment above mine :)

i think it'd be a good idea for Riot to treat support similarly to the way they treat jungle, where support has it's own summ and that summ unlocks support items that you can build that increase gp5 etc. they really do need to do something that makes support more worthwhile to play.... i really like the idea of a support item that binds your gold income to a partner, so you get 300g whenever they get a kill too ;) all this being said, any new summoner spells would require a huge amount of balancing from riot, so my first vote is that exhaust becomes a support only spell, and they rebalance the 3 support items (i.e. condense the vision versions with the regular versions) around the idea of supports now HAVING to take exhaust. that'd probably be the quickest way to do it

I'd take it on jg with smite. screw flash if I get 2:30 of vision on enemy jungler position and buffs. Done and done.

Interesting concept, just one question; is the ward stealthed? Otherwise the untargetability of the ward could easily be abused by those within the higher elos. It essentially is 100% guaranteed vision of one area for 2:30 (unless they are deactivated, if not countered by control wards and even then, the enemy would be purely guessing as to the ward's location). If the same as blue trinket, it would be sub par as an anti-ganking measure, considering the sheer amount of brush control that goes on in bot lane. Also, many supports could benefit from taking this spell alongside a sight stone as it would ensure that the support always has a ward to place, allowing them to stay in lane longer and increasing the roaming potential. Overall this is a fascinating idea, especially for roaming supports/pick supports and could provide more pathways for bot-lane strategy. Just my thoughts, quite likely incorrect in their conclusions.

It's a spell I'd take on mid laners lol
