On a plus side, I am glad that 
players are finally getting a skin with significant particle changes.

You say that the Project Skins are dead champions brought back to life by cybernetics but what if was the only way of beating mechanical monsters such as the Mecha and Battlecast skins.

Tamur1 votesYes but weapons can be broken and skill can only take you so far. Plus I believe the Project skins are more of a alternate reality. Anyways it not your character it's Riot's character. Don't like the skin don't buy it simple as that.

Yes but magic can be disabled or disenchanted. The same way hackers disable computers and robots. (I play way too much pen and paper D&D).
My impression is that in the time frame of the Project skins magic is no more or people need mechines to be able to reconnect wuth magic. Cybernetics can be removed or hid.
Saying that a skin is ugly because it's not what you think that champion should have is nonsense. If it's ugly by design suggest a creative way to fix it instead of saying just delete it and replace it with different skin.

She probably died in battle which explains the scars. The missing parts of her hair were most likely taken as a memento (a lover perhaps)

Just be cause one war ends doesn't mean another won't start. She may have met the same assassin who killed both her brother and her father (whether or not she killed that assassin before she died is something for Riot to figure out. Perhaps as you like to mention Swain and LB.
Battles do happen outside the protection of the Nexus' life giving properties, but most are handled through interference of guards.
