Why does Muramana use mana when hitting a ward, but not structures?

If I hit a tower, not mana is consumed, if I hit a ward mana is consumed. Is it due to how wards are coded? It would make switching the Muramana off and on a little less cumbersome.

If you look in the coding, wards count toWARDs your CS. They count as minions basically.

They don't entirely count as minions tho, as they've made certain effects not be able to proc on wards like sona passive, I actually find it a waste (even tho I never use muramana) for mana to be drained on wards so they should change it

Wards can be hit by on hit effects (Sheen, Nasus Q) and take damage, though they only take 1 damage they apply full lifesteal for damage and such that would have dealt (normally do 500 damage, lifesteal 50 or such instead of 0-1). However, Muramana counts as an on hit effect and so uses your mana to deal more damage, despite the ward not losing more health from extra damage.

Can you get a Siphoning Strike stack from wards?

Yes. You can also get one from last hitting towers, but I don't remember if you get one from inhibitors (I want to say no, but I'm not 100% sure). Basically anything you can last hit with Nasus Q you get a stack from.

Does tower grant 3 or 6 stacks?

Last I checked 3.

You cannot get stacks from last hitting towers or inhibitors.

I remember pretty well cause it made me pretty sad. I missed out on a whole 12~ damage.

Wards are affected by on-hit things. You can lifesteal off wards, too.

I thought they fixed that...

Nope, it's pretty damn hilarious when you heal for like 75% from a pink ward :D

haha man that's so dumb. It's pretty rare to ever matter, since there's usually minions or a monster somewhere not thaaaat far away but at the same time, "I lifestealed off a ward" should never be the reason you can turn around and kill someone chasing you.

Because wards are OP...

this is a game coded by riot games

where hitboxes dont match, wards are minions, and half of the auto attack modifiers in the game work on towers while 25% dont and the last 25% only do on sundays

when yas hits a ward, you can see the wards blood

Is the muramana active increasing the damage dealt to towers though? If not it is just like how people said that on hit doesn't apply to towers. If it is then that is a bug.

You can stack wards, lifesteal from them, crit them, etc etc. They are propably coded as static minions or something.

Wards seem like they're coded like minions, like how you'll sometimes have minions follow you into the jungle and they give vision. Woah, what if there was a gamemode where only champions or yourself and wards gave vision. People would probably upgrade their warding trinkets immediately and yup I think that could be a gamemode.
