It's cool to see such a niche theme in League. The skins themselves aren't cyberpunk at all, but the worlds they're within in the splash arts are.

The PROJECT skin setting is so cool. I'd love to see a Summoner's Rift map skin for some event like they did with ARAM for the Bilgewater lore event. Where the lanes are streets of the futuristic city depicted and the jungle is a network of crazy alleyways.

Because backgrounds are augmented.
But really though,
It's cool to see such a niche theme in League.
First of all, PROJECT skin is the mainstream. And secondly, it has been mainstream since the 90s' Ghost in the Shell, or even earlier dating to 80s' Bladerunner.
But is it cool? Absolutely.
Nope.
