AP/Crit Witchdoctor Champion Concept
Name: Undecided Theme: Witchdoctor Role: Squishy melee damage dealer who deals physical damage and scales primarily on AP and crit chance and whose objective is to control the map and infest it with monsters
Backstory: he's the sole remainder of an ancient civilization in the jungle that collapsed due to their reckless use of magic which was fuled by the use of souls obtained through ritualistic sacrifice. when their civilization collapsed it was turned into a cursed marsh in order to preserve the secrets of their magic and harbor the lost souls of it's citizens, who remain trapped in the netherealm (basically hell) and seek to escape. this champion exists to preserve the curse over the land and to kill the lost souls who struggle to escape their fate.
i haven't filled in the details yet. i'm not very good at writing lore and would appreciate help in writing a story for him.
abilities:
passive: soul dagger he gains 0.45% critical strike chance for each 1% of his maximum mana he currently has. the bonus damage on his critical strikes is based on his ability power and not on his attack damage. it has a 100% ap scaling and gains additional damage based on his current level. his crits also cost mana, and the mana cost increases the more ability power he has. he can't crit when he has insufficient mana.
Q: bog mummy he summons a motionless mummy at a target location. it just stands there and doesn't do anything unless he commands it. the mummies don't move, attack, or have any sensory awareness whatsoever, but they are very tanky and their health scales on his maximum mana. if he right clicks on an enemy within 600 distance units of the mummy it will release a terrifying screech that will fear the target for up to 3 secnds based on skill rank. this effect deals no damage and has an 18 second cooldown. casting the creature has a small mana cost and a long cooldown, but they survive indefinitely untill they are killed by an enemy champion. their fear effect can also draw aggro from jungle monsters.
W: cursed fog he creates a large ireegularely shaped patch of fog on the ground. he gains a very large movement speed buff while moving unseen through the fog. the fog significantly reduces enemy vision. lost souls periodically spawn within the fog. these souls are slow moving but run away from allied champions and move towards enemy champions. when an allied champion collects a lost soul they gain mana and experience and they spread fog wherever they move for a few seconds. if an enemy champion collects a lost soul they also gain mana and experience, and their presence clears the fog around them for a few seconds.
E: leaper hive he channels for a moment and raises an earthen tunnel entrance from the ground. this tunnel is considered a structure and can be destroyed by enemy auto attacks but is immune to spells and on hit effects. the tunnel periodically spawns leapers, which are ugly fast moving creatures that can leap a short to enemies if right clicked on. they wander the map aimlessly looking for enemy units to attack. while in the cursed fog they move and attack faster, behave more erratically, have a much large field of awareness, and slow enemies they damage. they deal physical damage that scales on ap and can crit based on your crit chance from items. they can deal a lot of damage but are very squishy. the structures that spawn these creatures can't be placed too close together and the creature gain a substantial defensive bonus when close to these structures. destroying the structures clears a large area of cursed fog around it.
R: the yakatamu the yakatamu is a controllable humanoid creature wrapped in bandages that passively spawns near you. it can be commanded to go anywhere on the map. it has a death timer based on its cooldown. and its cooldown only starts when the creature is killed. the yakatamu can impersonate any allied champion you command it to, taking on all their stats, it reverts to its original form on command, when it attacks an enemy champion, or when damaged by an enemy champion. when not impersonating an allied champion the creature moves and attacks very quickly but can easily be kited . the yakatamu becomes camouflaged while in the cursed fog but only when it's not attacking. the creatures attack damage scales on your ability power and its maximum health scales on your maximum mana. it can also crit.
