All beings of the void devour. All void consume. It is our nature, it is the purpose and meaning of our existence. We have evolved and adapted to the point where there is nothing the void cannot devour. Be it physical matter, energy, space, time. All is consumed.” -Vel’Koz AKA Ask Void Squid

Ita’Ska is a being that consumes space. In the area that it has consumed it splits the veil between the two planes and gains strength as the Void energies leach out Runeterra’s.

Design Philosophy Ita'Ska's theme isnt just "eating space" it sort of combines gravity/black holes and eating together with greed, but not only that alone. Ita'Ska is meant to be a fun, late game scaling totem pole anti-mobility support champ with increasing range as he increases his strength. I thought that this sort of power fantasy of feeling your power grow in tandem with your dominion as you feast on the WORLD ITSELF something that more than a few players could enjoy.

Ita’Ska remains connected to the Rifts it nibbles in the veil between the realms as it is always hungry and waiting for the next meal. This hunger is felt all around the map; These Rifts are subtly pulling at the area around them and thus Ita’Ska can sense when there is extra matter near them through the Void. And since Ita’Ska is connected to them it can cast abilities from their location which also makes more Rifts:

Ita’Ska is literally eating the distance across the map to effect anyone from anywhere. Ita’Ska's Q represents the consumption of space in the most visual way, where it picks and area to eat and anything in the way is pushed to the middle as the space between them is consumed.

W represents Ita’Ska's greed and its ability to seemly reach across planes to get what it wants. W is also one of its best anti mobility skills and goes great when used in tandem with Q for great skill expression.

E allows the true danger of Ita’Ska's Rifts to become more apparent as well as feed into his theme of slowing deteriorating the earth as the number of Rifts can be greatly increased during E. Using E Ita’Ska can create great areas of zone control as enemies will have to fight in order to move freely again due to the Null Zones.

R is where Ita’Ska's hard and strategic work comes to fruition; sending Null Zone rifts ravaging across the entire map and cutting multiple enemy routes off. Using R should be a high point for Ita’Ska players and moment where they can feel truly power and in control as they rip Summoner's Rift to shreds and leave the enemies with only islands to stand on.

Support Mage

#Kit

Passive - Void Rift CD 35/28/23/18 sec Ita’ska creates a Rift that it can cast its other abilities from at a base range of 4000. Ita’Ska gains a stack of Void Rift for every active Rift increasing the passive’s ability cast range by 500 and reducing CDs by 0.5 sec for every stack. While in brush Ita’Ska can create a Rift that indicates when enemies or enemy wards are within 500 units of it even if invisible/camouflaged. It has no life span, is visible and can be hit 3 times to destroy it.

Ita’Ska’s abilities leave behind null zones with a 100 unit radius that enemies cannot walk over with Rifts at the center, if they hit a unit (+1 for every enemy champion hit). If the Rift is destroyed the ** null zone** disappears.

Q - Eater of Space Range: 1050 / CD: 17/16/15/14/13 Ita’ska creates two parallel fissures 400 units apart dealing dmg, then they quickly shift towards each other knocking up all enemy units to the center line and dealing a second round of dmg.

W - Interplanar Grasp Range: 650 / Target AoE Radius: 250 Ita’Ska slams its hand into the ground. The unit near the center of the target AoE is dmg’d and tethered (Prioritzing enemy champions). Units that exit the AoE are pulled back to the center dealing AoE dmg. Moving Ita'Ska more than 500 units away from the range that it was cast cancels it. AA'ing the center reduces the duration.

E - Thinning Veil Range: Self / Radius: 550 Ita’Ska siphons the matter out of an area for 10 sec increasing its radius by 10 units every sec that its within or when enemies are dmg'd. Dmg'ing enemies increases its duration by 0.25 sec. When an enemy unit takes three attacks or dies, they are dealt x/x/x/x/x (x # of Rifts +10% dmg dealt) 300 unit radius AoE dmg & slowed leaving behind a null zone. Rifts targeted by Thinning Veil grant the AoE limitless duration until the Rift is destroyed.

R - All Consuming Catalyst Passive: Ita’Ska’s next AA after casting an ability deals bonus true dmg (= # of Rifts) when the target is within 500 units of a **Rift **or Null Zone Ita'Ska causes null zone crevices to form between all Rifts within his Passives range for 3/3.5/4 sec dmging and displacing Enemies caught in them. Enemies are also dealt dmg if they cross them. Duration is increased by 0.25 (× # of Rifts).

Notes: to cast abilities from Rifts, click of the rift before casting an ability W - Interplanar Grasp will cause the location of the Rift to become the center of the Target radius

Playing as Ita’Ska

Ita’Ska should be played as a roaming support to reach full potential (ike how most supports should be anyways). Starting by possibly leashing the jg at the top lane buff, and supporting the top laner for a bit before heading mid and finally bot. This will allow Ita’Ska to place Rifts in places where it can continue to support these other lanes at from range. Ita’Ska's passive will allow him to continually support the rest of its team from almost anywhere on the map and it is its main strength on top of the "vision" it provides. With enough Rifts it range can reach all of the lanes from mid lane and this might even be enough reason for Ita’Ska to be played as a support in the mid lane, either with a partner or solo.

Ita’Ska should aways be looking for opportunities to either catch enemies in a bad spot or move them to a bad spot, and if that doesn't work Ita’Ska's E can just create a bad spot creating a number of Rifts that will allow it to increase its dmg. Once Ita’Ska has its ult its position on the team as anti-mobility will really shine as well as its placement of MANY rifts. Its damage potential also increasing combining E, R,W,Q: setting down the E first on a target before activating R so a Null Zone knocks them back towards the center of E, catching them with W, and using the Q to dmg and knock them over R's nearby Null Zone, before W pulls them back over and dmgs them again...hm think about that.

Quotes Each new plane, each new world is a cornucopia of new flavours With each consumption the Void grows in strength It it my work that hastens the Catalyst My appearance means the prep work is almost complete Cho'Gath eats the world? Please don't get my taste mixed with his. Some times I have cravings, but I am not Always picky If you happen to get in the way you can't blame me Give me some space...with some paprika The more i eat the space i can effect I will consume this world This world has so much to offer...to the Void Eating space is like slurping soup and eating carrots

#Lore How long had it been since Ita’Ska had feasted on such place with such a density of matter and spacial flavors? It had been ages and Ita’Ska had become quite picky and strategic only eating in places that either were full of flavor or provided especially safe feasting areas. But in all his travels no place came close to Icathia. Since then Ita’Ska had taken nibbles here and there ripping the veil between the places as he feasted on the space and matter between them.

In the past Ita’Ska's life hadn't consisted of much he'd always hungered but the taste of the space of the void had grown boring to him when he happened upon his first crack between planes he'd been so enticed by the tastes that he promptly tore through throwing himself into the buffet losing himself and his way in this new flavorful world. It was some time before Ita’Ska realized that though he could finally come closer to being satisfied that he felt weaker in this new realm and thus he sought a way back but the taste of void was weak where ever he went; Until Icathia.

In Icathia Ita’Ska found a strong source of Void energies where the flavors of both realms seeped together: A concoction that Ita’Ska found truly intoxicating. The feasting shredded the separation between the realms leading the disaster the befell Icathia, and Ita’Ska found his new goal: to unite both realms in order to enjoy both forever. In places where travelers find secluded areas that crackle with foreign energy Ita’Ska has surely been there. All of Runeterra should fear it as though it may seem to act unseen at great distances it may prove to be the most dangerous.

(I had written a great idea then the page closed urrgh!) [sg-ahri-1] Oh well. It went something like this:

I love the idea of the void ever spreading and becoming a threat. I feel that there just isnt enough in the theme and gameplay for the rifts outside of "hit it 3 times and the rift id gone". What if the rifts were like this:

Void Rifts share % Health and regen based on Ita’Ska. If a Ita’Ska or a Rift is attacked the dmg is split and distributed based on % of active Rifts.

Having Rifts active allows Ita’Ska to cast spells at 4000 units away, but also runs the risk of taking damage if the enemy can reach an exposed Rift. Also attacking a Rift feels impactful as you know you are hurting Ita’Ska themself and other rifts. Not a lot of dmg, but still.

What do you think? Any thoughts?
