Bethemos ~ The Terrene Guardian

He would look like a giant titan made of stone carrying a large hammer (see pics below). His voice would sound very deep, crackly, and a little angry.

Background: Giant nature spirit awoken by the rune wars. Enraged by the destruction of the landscape he join the league to end wars and show the power of the earth.

Passive: Nature’s Wrath

Bethemos's AA slow his target by 25% for .25 sec.

CD: 10 sec

Bethemos's next AA deals an additional 30 (+ 15 × Champ lvl) (+20% Armor) true damage and doubles the slow and its duration. The Cooldown is reduced by 1 sec every time he is attacked, this doubles against champions, turrets, and large / epic Monsters.

Q: Catastrophic Blow

CD: 7 sec all ranks Cost: N/A

Bethemos’s next auto within 5 sec will deal 110/135/150/165/180% AD. Whoever is hit will be stunned for 1 sec and all enemies in a 150 radius of the enemy hit will take 40% of the damage and be slowed by 20/25/30/35/40%. This Auto will apply on-hit effects, but cannot crit. This will reset his auto. Both the extra damage and the AoE damage can deal damage to turrets. Bethemos's Q will apply his Passive. (His Q would have a giant smash animation with dust flying up, and the shockwave would look like a Mega-Gnar E)

W: Inspissate Armor Passive: Bethemos gains 1 armor for every 65/55/45/35/25 HP

CD 25/22/19/16/13 sec Cost: 10% Current HP

Active: Bethemos gains a 80/110/140/180/210 (10% Bonus HP) shield for 6 sec. At the end of the duration the remaining shield amount heals Bethemos for that amount. (If there was 150 left on the shield Bethemos would be healed for 150 HP). If Bethemos is under 50% HP, the Heal is doubled. (The shield would look like giant chunks of rock / earth circling around him and at the end of the duration or if the shield is broke the rocks break and fall to the ground)

E: Tectonic Fracture

CD: 10 all ranks Cost: 15% Current HP Cast Range: 600 Range: 100 Width: 100

Bethemos conjures a breakage in the tectonic plates that deals 95/115/135/155/175 (+60% AD) (30% Armor) damage. Enemies hit are knocked up for .5 sec and slows by 20/30/40/50/60% for 2 sec after. This ability would fire like a viktor E. It would take 1.5 sec for the fracture to travel from start to finish. (This ability would look like a braum ult, but out of stone)

R: Terraform

CD 240/180/120 sec Cost: 20% Current HP

After a 1.5 sec delay Bethemos slams the ground with his Hammer sending out a global shockwave dealing 280/360/440 (+60% AD) (+30% Armor) and slowing enemies hit by 20/30/40%. If he is interupted the ult goes on CD for 30/25/20 sec. (His ult would look like a giant earthy shockwave / ripple starting from Bethemos spreading out)

A really interesting concept. The passive seems a little too powerful with the true damage though. I would change it do bonus physical damage or bonus magic damage.

Thanks for answering my questions, and I like what you did with the new possible second cast on E, him sinking into the ground an breaking out of the fracture. I like that better than a blink, it fits him better and it's much cooler. The animation would be wicked. Would it apply a knock up or knock back?

At first when I looked at this picture (no offense) he looked about the size of malphite, even though I kno they are completely different. Then I saw that there were trees on his head and his shoulder and then I saw the people in comparison to him, and I was like OMG!!! Okay, let's start at the beginning with the passive... It's OP as fuck. At level 18 with just base stats (Assuming you've leveled all of your abilities), he gets just over 90 True damage PERMANENTLY per basic attack. Master Yi is the only one who can even come close to that with his E and if he has 300 attack damage, but that's still less and only for five seconds. Plus, you add the slow to it, which makes it even more powerful. Sure, they can't be slowed every 10 seconds at level 1, but it's still a stronger slow than Ashe's Q, and when combined with a Frozen Mallet, you proc the 40% slow on EVERY BASIC ATTACK. So, just my opinion, I'd seriously nerf it. Twitch's passive True damage is over time and requires multiple basic attacks to do anything, and Corki's is only 10% of his AD. Even with 500 AD, he'd only get 50 bonus True damage.

Anyway, on to the Q. The Stun should not increase with levels. You've already got enough sustain and displacement that your other abilities will easily land with a 1 second stun. The slow should be decreased early and work up to 40%, because a 40% slow if incredibly debilitating at level 1. Darius's W, which is very similar, starts at 20% and works it s way to 40%, and it doesn't even have a stun. Not to mention, by the way, that a 200 radius AoE is actually quite large, bigger than the passive from Ravenous Hydra. Aside from that, it's an okay ability. Not much synergy with the other stuff, but it's okay.

The W: The passive is in dire need of a nerf. With base stats alone, when maxed, it gives almost 100 bonus Armor for free. If you want to make this a bit more balanced, make it percentile, about 1/2/3/4/5% of his Maximum health is converted into armor. Now, the Active: Equally Overpowered. There's very little to counter this early game, seeing as it gives you a 130 based damage shield, which is more than 10% of this champion's Maximum health at the time. Not to mention that he is healed for double the amount remaining, so if he's being pushed to tower and being poked, all he has to do is use his W and suddenly he gains all his health back in a few seconds. Just as a reference, Sion's W scales off of 10% of his Maximum Health, but it doesn't get to 130 until it's Maxed. Janna's shield starts at 80 and works its way to 240, but it's because she'll be in a lane where people will get poked down, so it needs to be strong. Plus, it lasts for less time.

The E: Is there a reason this has to be a vector skillshot? And is there also a reason for you to have a mini Braum Ult as a basic ability? Sure, it does less damage, but it's a massive AoE that has a stronger slow than Braum's slowing field, even though it lasts for less time. It also doesn't help that it's on a 10 second cooldown and there's no delay for when it knocks people up. Like you W, it's inredibly annoying and broken early game.

The R: Well, there are a few things missing here, namely the radius of the AoE, the duration of the buff/debuff and the cast time. If I knew these things, then judging the ability would be a bit easier, but for now, I'll work with what I have, being the most damage of any instant damage AoE Ult without any modifers, and the fact that the buffs and debuffs are beyons underwhelming. You have a 70% slow on your E, but you only give your enemies a 40% slow on your Ult. Not to mention that a 10% speed boost is really not much, although it gets adequate as it levels up. One more thing, though, is that the cooldown is tied with revival abilities for being the longest cooldown in the game. I'd really lower it, as well as the damage, but I'd increase the boost and slow.

Anyway, numbers aside, it's a decent kit, just a bit unnecessarily overpowered, underpowered and redundant in a few places. Fix it up a bit and you can have a great champion.

I would, but you already have a solid visual for that, even if its not one of him doing the dance. I wanted to do the animations to give better a better feel of what he looks like and what his actions look like. Your reference video already does that.

I like the concept of the earth sprite becoming enraged and encasing them self in a suit of rock armor. His passive is a little op, his basic attacks are gonna slow and chunk his enemies in just a few hits from level 1. I'd take the true damage away and just apply it to another ability. The slow is fine. Q - is fine i'd scale the damage down just a bit. maybe by 15 W - I'd change it, If he is below 30% health he is healed for double not 50% cause he would never die as long as his w was active. E - take the additional 60% damage, and just reduce their armor for 30% for 3 seconds. R - its okay.

i like this concept we need more non-human Champions, i bet you got some replies like he's just Malphite with a Hammer just because he's a "earth elemental golem". well any way this seems like a solid desingee & the Abilities, States & Items look good & the additonal stuff is just icing on the cake.
