Lore: Emporer Azir had seen the truth behind why his kingdom had fell a millennium ago. Xerath, his brother had betrayed him all those years ago and took what was rightfully his from the beginning. Azir had only showed his kindness towards Xerath just for him to betray him at his most rewarding time of his life, to be ascended. Azir only grew angry towards his former brother and seeker vengeance upon him. With his new powers of controlling the sand he sought out to restore balance to Shurima. Azir could feel his presence everywhere around him, it was the matter of finding him. Azir knew of only one area to seek out which was guarded by creatures of immense crystalline. So Azir set out to find Xerath in the Shurima wastes which now rests rubble of a once immense kingdom. Several weeks had passed and Azir finally reached the tomb of which these crystalline creatures rest, only to find one infused into a large crystal. Azir rose the sand to reveal what it was that had happened leading up to the point. The sand showed of Xerath controlling the crystal of this once striving scorpion and controlling its own power to fuse it into the crystal. Xerath had went and laid waste to many more of these creatures that guard the tomb, bringing Azir to his knees in anger. Azir stood up and stand exploded around him as his anger flooded the area around him. "You will not get away from me brother!" He yelled out. Azir rushed into the tomb and into the deepest depths to find more scorpions trapped in their own crystals. Azir wasn't sure why Xerath would want to bring himself here but Azir was determined to find out why. He finally reached the heart of the tomb to find Xerath standing below the enormous crystal in attempt to harvesting its powers. "This ends here Xerath" Azir called out to him. Xerath turned to him in shock to find his old enemy arisen from the sands of his once forgotten city. Azir rose up many sand soldiers and ordered them to attack Xerath. He defeated many of the soldiers one by one, but Azir was relentless and kept bringing in floods of soldiers after him until eventually Xerath fell to his knees. Azir approached the fallen ascended with hatred and anger. "What have I done to deserve your betrayal!" Xerath sat the unresponsive. He sat there and after a minute he said to Azir "You never deserved to be ascended." After which Xerath extracted of the gems powers and shot a beam of energy at Azir, launching him into the opposite direction of the exit to the tomb. Xerath fled and rushed to the one place he could think of, Shurima itself. Along the way he came across a man to the point of near death. His body aching and dry from the lack of water. Xerath picked up his fragile weak body and took him to Shurima with him. After time Xerath made it to Shurima while keeping his passenger alive enough to reach it. Xerath took the man to the sun disk in order to ascend the man. What Azir had lacked to realize is that when he brought up Shurima from the sand as did the sun priests rise to his forecoming. Xerath approached them and ordered the priests to ascend the near death man or suffer a painful death. The priests unhappily fulfilled his orders and began the ritual. The man rose from floor and became shrouded in sand and a bright light shone from his body. His body fell limp to the ground and puffed into a pile of sand. Xerath thought that the priests failed their ritual and was almost to murder them when the man rose from the sand. His body was dripping with sand from every part of his body. He was the embodiment of sand itself. Xerath stood there shocked for a moment and called out to him "you are arisen! You shall be known as Zasadel, and you will defeat Azir!" But at the time all of this had happened Azir had entered the city only moments before. Azir approached the sun disc to discover what Xerath had accomplished. Zasadel turned to Azir and creating quicksand below him. Azir lifted himself out and shortly after Zasadel created an impenetrable sand tomb around Azir. Zasadel then sent his tomb deep into the depths of the arisen Shurima trapping Azir for a time to come.

Tl;dr: Azir sought vengeance, looked for Xerath in a tomb where skarner used to be, Xerath tried taking its powers only to be stopped by Azir. Xerath escaped, found a man nearly dead in the desert and ascended him which is now Zasadel and he burries Azir in a impenetrable sand tomb deep beneath the city.

Sense you looked at my concept for Raseri, I would look at this one here. So let's see about this demon.

So the passive right now is a bit weak. Not because of the slow amount but that it gets completely negated by merc treads as you stated. That isn't exactly how it works. Merc treads if I remember correctly reduces the duration of crowd control and swiftness boots reduces the amount of the slow. You would be fine just having an AoE slow around him.

The Q is an alright ability. I don't really see much wrong with it. Though perhaps you should increase the duration of the quick sand pool and mention how long they must stand in it before being pulled in. Or you can make it act like quick sand having it be like a stacking slow if they are moving within it. Just a suggestion.

From the W are you sure you want this to be a skill shot? To me it sounds like a ground targeted ability from the description. Also how long does knock up last? It is a good thing to mention.

So this E passive feels very tacked on. LIke it just feels as if it was just put there. Now the skill shot itself is a blinding effect which isn't bad. Though having two very similar abilities isn't very diverse. What I recommend is that you can combine the illusion with the active. Instead of him throwing sand he send can out the illusion to have the same effects happen to the first target hit.

Now the ultimate has very similar mechanics to Yasous. This is something I don't like too much. Cause it requires a knock up to perform. Now what you could do is just have it be a targeted stun but have it have bonus effects if the target is knocked up. That way it doesn't steal a defining mechanic and it creates him more complex without changing much.

Also I have a couple more ability ideas that I could replace for any ability so if something doesn't seem good enough to keep I can always change it later

Lore: I personally disagree with this direction. Xerath would need the Sun Priests and the Dais of Ascention to compete the ritual.

Gameplay: Passive is anti-fun. E passive feels really tacked on, and would only work against baddies. Having 3 sand ball skillshots would be bad for clarity and would feel bland.

Pretty ok, I feel that you could link his passive with his moves a bit more cuz right now its 3 skill shots... I kinda like the e passive, I think you could do more with that and the passive together like have mirages spawn, walking around and they can slow other units but dissapear when attacked by a champion or something... you have a lot of potential on your e, just describe it more :P

Ok I have reworked the abilities to make it flow nicer with the champions kit so let me know what you guys think of the changes

Also i fixed the lore a bit but it isn't until the ascending part that didn't get changed so just skip ahead to that if you wanted to see what's different.

I liked his E and his ultimate. His W is okay, but I think his Q could be a little bit better. I don't mean that it sucks or something, but I guess you could come up with something that is a bit more advanced. His passive is cool.
