#Lore

With a questionable relationship to the Shurima Empire, Lyndaira is not a solider, but a mercenary for it. With the rush of moving from one killing blow to the next, she puts herself in the right position in large scale wars to strike down targets, one after another. Using her speed and agility, she was even able to take out the claimed Beast of Sands, wearing its carapace as her own reward.

With both her style and abilities, this caught the attention of many important figures within the empire, up to its Emperor to become a high-ranking officer of the empire. Lyndaira declined, knowing that even in refusal she could not be challenged, at least not without escaping with her own life intact. She made a counter offer to be paid not in glory, but in coin for her skills. There was a short reply.

“Claim what is found when you slay. When you are slain, I will claim all.”

######In draft, to be continued…

#Abilities

##PASSIVE: Sandswept Steps Spell Modifier | Cooldown Modifier Cooldown: None

Lyndaira can use bonus movement only based abilities only when the basic and ultimate abilities are on cooldown. While Sandswept Steps bonus abilities remaining unused, basic and ultimate abilities cooldown 1.5 times as fast.

Once used, individual Sandswept Steps bonus movement abilities will be unavailable until the normal ability is placed on cooldown again.

While using these Sandswept Steps bonus movement abilities, Lyndaira may use her normal and ultimate abilities while dashing and without breaking travel. However, casting a different Sandswept Steps while in motion interrupts and replaces the current movement instruction.

  • Normal and ultimate abilities will have a light brown boarder on the UI to indicate that both the Sandswept Steps bonus abilities are available and the normal ability has the 1.5 times faster benefit.

##Q: Crosscut / Swift Step

Crosscut Dual Conic Area of Effect / On Spell Debuff Conic Degrees: 30° Overlapping Center | 70° Total Range: 300 Cooldowns: 11 / 10.5 / 10 / 9.5 / 9 Cost: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 Casting Time: .25 Seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndaira swings both of her misericordes in a cross pattern in front of her, dealing 20 / 45 / 80 / 110 / 155 (+50% AD) in physical damage. Enemy units in the overlap of the conic areas receive 50% bonus physical damage. After 1.0 seconds, she flips the Misericordes in reverse grip, and attacks in the same fashion again, in the opposite direction of the original attack.

  • The cooldown begins at cast, and Lyndiara may use Swift Stride before the second attack comes out.

Swift Step Linear Dash Range: 250 Dash Speed: 900 Casting Time: .25 Seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndiara dashes a short distance, passing through minions and stopping at the first enemy champion or terrain.

##W: Puncturing Fling / Snap Shift

Puncturing Fling Linear Collision Skillshot Range: 600 Projectile Speed: 2200 Projectile Width: 70 Cooldowns: 14 / 13.5 / 13 / 12.5 / 12 Cost: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 Casting Time: .75 seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndaira throws one of her misericordes in a line colliding with the first enemy unit, dealing 65 / 95 / 155 / 210 / 295 (+70% AD) in physical damage. Damaging an enemy within the first quarterly increment of the casting range causes her to spin around, wrapping her scarf around the weapon in the process, dealing 50% of the original damage as she uses the scarf to pull the weapon out and back to her.

Snap Shift Linear Dash Range: 250 / 450 Casting Time: .25 seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndaira takes a quick bounding step backward before dashing forward, passing through minions and stopping at the first enemy champion or terrain.

  • The dash range of 450 is considered the distance after the backward step to the end point.

##E: Spiked Carapace / Overvault Persistent Area of Effect / On Spell Debuff Radius: 175 Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 Cost: 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 Casting Time: .5 Seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Clutching her chest, Lyndaira activates and causes the spikes along her armor to grow and damage near by enemies in the area for 30 / 55 / 80 / 120 / 150 (+80% AD) in physical damage and slowing all enemy units hit for 99% for .25 seconds, with the spikes continuing to protrude for the next 4.0 seconds. If Lyndaira dashes into an enemy champion during this time, they are dealt an additional 50% damage of the base damage and are slowed for same strength and duration.

Overvault Linear Collision Dash Range: 400 Casting Time: .5 seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndaira crouches down for a brief moment before dashing forward. If she collides with an enemy champion or non-epic monster, she will vault over them in the direction of travel a short distance (200) in front of them. Both dash and vault portions may traverse terrain if the ending location clears it fully.

##R: Coup De Gras / Dune Slide Coup De Gras Two Step Cast Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100 Cost: 100

First Cast Unit Targeted | Self Targeted Buff Radius: 1000 Casting Time: .5 Seconds Interrupts Movement: No

Lyndaira selects an enemy champion in a large area around her, instinctually knowing a killing blow is near. She gains bonus 2% movement speed per 1% missing health the target has while in the direction of the target for the next 3.0 seconds. Coup De Gras may be cast again with 3.0 seconds for additional effects.

Second Cast Unit Targeted Radius: 150 / 450 Casting Time: .75 Seconds Interrupts Movement: Yes

Lyndaira jumps up high with both of her weapons swinging back while in the air. While airborne, sand from the earth raises up and coats both of her weapons, using the enhancement to strike downward with a devastating blow, dealing 175 / 325 / 475 (+100% AD) in physical damage. If Lyndaira was within the closer radius of the range in cast, the enemy unit will be dealt an additional 50% of base damage as bonus physical damage.

Dune Slide Dynamic Range Linear Pass Through Dash | Self Targeted Buff Range: 400 - 1000 Dash Speed: 500 Casting Time: 1.25 Seconds Interrupts Movement: Yes

Lyndaira creates a thin sanded lane on the ground for a medium to long distance in a line. She then dashes through this area. If may cross any number of terrain or structures within the range, creating a sloped dune to go up and down these areas as needed. While sliding, she is immune to Grounding Effects.

So you are proposing another 4-dash champ. Are you looking to get death threats from Boards users?

Awesome concept! The mechanic of switching between two sets of abilities based on cooldown is an interesting one to explore! maybe consider some suggestions?

500 is a very slow speed for a dash, especially on an "Ultimate"

Maybe the second cast of her Ultimate has some extra execute damage? Without it it may be lacking. Given that the second cast seems to be pretty projected and maybe easier to dodge than some other ultimates, it is okay to tack on some more damage than seems approapriate at first glance.

Having every Sandswept Steps ability be a dash presents a real danger of being repetitive. I see that have have already taken steps to avoid this, with the step back and the vault mechanics, but maybe take more steps to make them functionally different? Maybe one dash WILL displace champions it hits, AND deals good damage, but stops on the first unit hit in general. Maybe another dash is longer, but she ghosts through everything in her path, and it deals nominal damage. Experiment with potential combos!

Can she queue up her abilities so that they cast immediately after each other? What if the Puncturing Fling projectile dragged her to her target, so that she could fling herself into a group to deal area damage with Puncturing Fling's second half and Spiked Carapace and then try to use her dashes to escape? What if this same Puncturing Fling mechanic put her target INSIDE of the overlap zone for Crosscut? Who knows!? I don't! You do!

Can she move while channeling Crosscut? If she can, will Crosscut continue to cast in the same direction relative to her, or will it orient itself to face the initial cast area? Will she introduce a new mechanic where, if she is interrupted mid channel, her weapons hit her and she deals damage to herself? An interesting gamble for the prospect of extra damage in the overlap zone.

If she CAN vault with a Sandswept Steps dash, can she cast Crosscut MID-VAULT and watch the cast zone orient itself to slap someone from the front and from behind as she freaking backflips over their head? How dope would that be?!?

She can cast Spiked Carapace while she dashes, but can she do it while casting Crosscut, or Puncturing Fling? Maybe she throws out the initial Crosscut sweep, then pops Spiked Carapace to slow them down while she orients them into the cross section of Crosscut for her second sweep?

Can she cast spells while Dune Sliding without getting off the dune? Maybe she slides on by an enemy and slaps them with a Crosscut as she passes, only to continue on her merry way? Maybe she passes an enemy and snags them with a Puncturing Fling mid slide, pulling herself to them? Maybe the range is more like 2000-3000 so she can really get around, and can't be grounded, but the catch is she takes amped damage while on the dune? Or maybe enemy champions can destroy the dune, bringing her ride to an early stop, right where they want her to be for some high-risk high-reward plays?

Theorycraft with your champions and their kits, it's fun!

and let me know if you want me to theorycraft with some other concepts!

You do realize that Grounded ony stops mobility from BEING cast not once the champion is already in motion. However if u are granting the Ground immunity to her so that she can use other mobility options that simply isn't ok. Grounding is meant to counter mobility specifically so that it cannot be cast. It isn't ok to make a champion specific mechanic that counters whats supposed to counter her EVEN if its and ultimate.

Not to mention she has 4 dashes thats way too much mobility that she doesn't really seem to pay for in any way in her power budget. This would be fine if her passive had a CD and could only be used ONCE per CD, but if she can use 4 dashes in quick succession? That isn't ok.
