Balance: base AD vs BONUS AD, gearing towards caster vs crit, useful for bruiser/adc itemization

Hey guys, i was thinking about the recurring issue of adcs finding and abusing ad bruiser amd ad assassin items. While i have seen many calls for dividing items such as frozen mallet to melee only, i would like to propose a different strategy

More emphasis on base attack damage, and shifting base attack damage into being a caster stat where bonus attack damage would become an auto attack centric stat

Now in function thw idea would essentially remove the capacity to critically strike from basr attack damage, but would increase the impact it would have on all ad scaling abilities

Items such as frozen mallet, black cleaver, and titanic hydra would explicitly grant base attack damage, while items such as infinity edge would become adc aa items

This could also give certain champs bettwr scaling with base vs bonus vs total. Ravenous hydra wpuld be classified base and.bloodthirster bonus

I like this premise, although I'd probably reverse the AD types -- that way Crit as an early purchase remains possible, as BASE AD crits while bonus AD doesn't. So if you rush Zeal you don't get 20% on 0 bonus damage -- you get 20% crit on your base AD damage.

It would require a huge rebalance, but it's definitely a potentially interesting change. My one concern is that it drastically changes the approach for Base/Bonus AD scaling on abilities, which breaks some champion's scaling paradigms -- would love to find a workaround around that.

idk, i think balancing off sheer stats is stupid

I would much prefer if they were separated by actives and item function. Ranged items should emphasize on safety and keepaway. Bruiser tools should function on getting in and making escape difficult
