From before the battle at the Howling Abyss, before the Runewars, before Sharima was consumed by the sand, Bergeron emerged from the void. Having been cut off from his home world for countless eons, he has grown fond of this world and the creatures in it, offing his power and guidance to any who ask.

"The Void was once my home but it no longer reflects the memories I hold of it."

Melee Fighter/Support

Passive - Carve a New Path: After traveling in a line for a few seconds without interruption, Bergeron begins to carve a beaten path into the ground. Bergeron and allies who walk on the path gain the "Trailblazer" buff, which grants bonus movement speed and gives them a trail of vision behind them as they travel down the path. The carved paths remain for a few minutes.

Q - Void Stomp: Bergeron dashes in a short target direction, stopping and stunning the first enemy champion or large jungle monster hit, dealing X plus X% Bergeron's ad in physical damage.

W - Void's Familiar - Passive: Bergeron summons a small flying voidling and while the voidling is with Bergeron, it turns every third attack of Bergeron's into a ranged attack, that deals magic damage instead of physical

Active: Bergeron can target himself or an allied champion, the Voidling will fly into the target, making their basic attacks, for the next few seconds, have bonus range and converts the physical damage from their basic attack into magic damage. (The icon would look like the Sagittarius https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/80/Sagittarius.svg/40px-Sagittarius.svg.png symbol)

E - Ancient Wisdom: Bergeron targets himself or an allied champion, the target gains bonus armor penetration and magic penetration for several seconds.

R - Walk Through the Void: Bergeron can target himself or an allied champion, the target becomes ghosted, invisible and untargetable for a few seconds as they are thrown into the Void. While in the Void, the target can not see any other champion, has their vision reduced greatly, but they can see the shadows of the enemies(Like item 3364 but purple). Once the target attacks or activate an ability, they are brought back to the battle.

Considering what the Void is, and what its inhabitants are like, I would more easily swallow that this guy was a wandering Icathian back from the early days when its sages began to plumb the depths of the Planes for knowledge with benevolent or idealistic intents, before the maddening voices of the Void warped and twisted their society into what made the ruins that Malhazar now calls home. He would still have access to Void energy and maybe some mutations, but a full Voidborn would be too alien to call "benevolent", even if they did have their own reasons to keep Runeterra safe from their kin.

the passive is very similar to an old teemo passive which was deemed too confusing/strong and was replaced by his current passive the q has the same name as rek'sai's ult
