Give Me a Champion Design Challenge! [Gathering Ideas]

#Thanks, everyone! Got enough interesting ideas to give me a few challenges. Appreciate it!

I'm interested in experimenting with a few design challenges that I don't set for myself, since those are always interesting to explore.

So, Champions & Creations board members, drop me some suggestions! It can be a simple conceptual challenge (AD Support, Global Presence Jungler, etc), a thematic or character challenge, or something REALLY crazy you'd like to see me take a stab at: feel free to toss me some conceptually difficult ideas if you feel like it!

Dude, I have about 4 or 5 concepts that I've written down, and I just came up with another one :D But you can have the one I just thought if you be kindly enough to accept.

Hm... Have you ever played GW2? If so, design a champion like a D/D Ele, or a S/D Ranger. :3

Oh, and put in a transform on their R! I love champs that have transforming bars.

An Mage/AP Carry, that somehow manages to function off of a "Spell Crit" mechanic.

Whether they have a way to convert crit chance from traditional AD items to work for spells, or gain it passively from something else is up to you, but they MUST be a Mage/AP Carry.

I don't frequent this board often, but I have a concept I think is interesting that you might like to toy around with.

Imagine a scenario where 4 enemies are dead, 1 still alive and in your base. All of your inhibitors are down, your nexus turrets are dead. Now imagine you can walk away from your base, with them in it and feel completely safe. A champion without an auto attack. If you want to take the idea even further, a champion with no damaging abilities at all.

A support utility assassin.

Could you make something which:

  1. More unfair than Rengar
  2. More annoying than Teemo
  3. More broken than Fiora
  4. More balanced than Vayne
  5. And also less OP than LeeSin
  6. Champion who makes your team and enemy team hate you
  7. But also who would be fun to play or play against to some extent

A skillshot that is more reliable the further you are away/a champion that is more dangerous the further you are from them (but without the traditional skillshot falloff in accuracy with distance). Not just a long ranged poke, but a champion who will punish the enemy team for not approaching yours and hanging out just outside poke range for a long time (but is less dangerous within a range like an ADC's range)

or: A skillshot with a limited firing angle e.g. can only be fired in the direction of your opponent's nexus, can only be fired up, down, left or right, etc., a skillshot with a range that isn't a circle (ellipse, square, etc.) A champion who is more dangerous in a particular position relative to you, and not just about how close/far they are from you.

I am not the most amazing person at deciding what ideas or concepts sound cool. But maybe you could make some sort of champion based on "being" the void. Like every void creature has been given a name and we know that they originate from the void. is there a kind to the void? Maybe make a champion who can use powerful void based abilities. and can finally explain the lore behind the creatures.

Another idea i had, was what if there was a champion that was really mobile as they wander the map "jungler" but as soon as they try to engage the enemy they use abilities that root them to the ground for channeling effects. Maybe like when they plant themselves they gain either increased range or can target allies with autos to slowly heal them up. that way it could be a supportive jungler.

How about a champion whose abilities, and maybe even their stats, changed depending on their environment? On Summoner's Rift, for instance, he/she would have different abilities in the jungle, in lanes, in the river, and finally in bases. Sort of a Geomancer if you will.

Try to create a champion based off what you think of "The Djinn" to be like. Probably a mage or support. But it would be cool to see him as an assasin or bruiser- or even tank. Try to make a unique kit and not necesarilly from Shurima like most ppl think. Maybe he's from the Plague Jungles or Great Barrier. Very few champions have relations to the Plague Jungles.
