Shouldn't Their Ultimates be Switched?
Currently, I have this in Concepts and Creations since this is moreso concept than gameplay, pretty sure this is where it should go.
Just conceptually, from a lore perspective, shouldn't Olaf and Tryndamere's ultimates be switched?
In the lore, Olaf is a warrior from Lokfar. Olaf believes he can only find glory in death if he dies in battle, and is determined to meet a bloody end.
Tryndamere is a warrior from a mountain village of the Freljord. He was a great young warrior, but was bested by the large demonic creature (that we know to be Aatrox) that killed most of his clan. His rage is believed to be magical, as he could heal from fights incredibly fast.
So, if Olaf is Unkillable™ and Tryndamere is Unstoppable™, then why does Olaf's ult make him unstoppable and Tryndamere's make him unkillable?
Honestly, I think their kits might work a bit better if they were swapped. Like, Olaf would get full use out of his passive, him losing the Armor and MR of ult's passive during the ult would make more sense since he can't die during the ulti, so he 'wouldn't need' the bonus resistance, necessarily.
Here's a rough concept for each:
Ultimate: Ragnarok Passive: Olaf gains Armor and Magic Resistance.
Active: Olaf becomes immune to death for the duration of this spell. Olaf also receives a Movement Speed bonus towards enemy champions for 1 second. During this time, Olaf loses the passive portion of Ragnarok and gains Attack Damage. After this spell ends, Olaf gains health regeneration for 3 seconds, which is increased if he got a takedown on an enemy champion during Ragnarok
Cooldown: 120/105/90 seconds Cost: None Armor/Magic Resistance: 20/30/40 Duration: 4/5/6 seconds Movement Speed: 20/40/60% Attack Damage: 15/25/35 (+25% total AD) Health Regeneration: 15/40/65 health per second (doubled if Olaf got a takedown during Ragnarok)
Ultimate: Unending Rage (Currently, is Undying Rage) Tryndamere removes all disables from himself and becomes immune to them for a 6 seconds. Additionally, he instantly gains Fury, and all damage Tryndamere takes is reduced while Unending Rage is active, based on how much Rage he has.
Cooldown: 100/90/80 seconds Cost: None Fury Gained: 50/75/100 Damage Reduction: 0.1/0.2/0.3% damage reduced per 1 Fury (Max 10/20/30% Damage Reduction at 100 Fury)
Obviously, I'm not a game designer and I don't know all the repercussions of this kind of change. There would likely have to be stat changes, and significant changes to ratios and damage of their base abilities for this to be plausible, but I'm slightly peeved by these two having lore that go with the other's ultimate.
I just find it fun to theorize these kinds of changes.
