Blitzcrank Rework Idea: True Fighter Blitz
After a long time of thinking and planing and quasi-balancing, I think I may have an idea of how to make Blitzcrank a much more viable choice as a fighter. I'm just tired of being stuck as Blitz-support.
Passive: Small changes: Just give it a small base amount; something like 20(+10*lvl), and maybe to compensate lower the scaling to something more like 40% current mana.
Q: Medium changes: Change damage type and scaling to AD and make it apply on hit effects. Maybe make the damage 105/110/115/120/125% Total AD with no base or something along those lines. A long range auto-attack/pull.
W: Medium changes: Blitzcrank gains bonus attack speed (30/35/40/45/50%) and a 60% move-speed buff that decays to a base amount (13/16/19/22/25%) over 4 seconds. Basic attacks and Rocket Grab increase the duration of Overdrive by 1 second up to a maximum of 8+/- seconds. Semi-Shivana burnout?
E: Large changes: Cooldown is now 5/4.5/4/3.5/3 or there about; next basic attack within 6 seconds deals bonus damage equal to 35/40/45/50/55% total AD; Recasting stacks the damage up to 2 times with the 2nd stack additionally causing a knock-up. May need additional numbers tuning but the basic idea stands.
R: Large changes: New passive; Basic attacks deal minor bonus magic damage and apply stacks of Static to target, up to 5 stacks. Active; Detonate the static field to deal magic damage to all surrounding enemies plus bonus magic damage for each stack of Static. Passive damage: 10/20/30 (+10% AP) Active damage: 100/200/300 (+30% AP) (+3% max health per stack).
