Nijon, The 5-Pronged Blade - League of Legends Community

I was just messing around when I made this guy, I didn't even know this forum existed. Anyway, here are his abilities and other stuffs. I think that I have all of the stats, please let me know if I am missing any. I know that the pictures aren't great, they were the best that I could find so far. If you think that you have a better picture for them, please put it into a response. (Or any picture, the originals disappeared)

Roles: Carry, Ranged, AP, mid

Abilities:

Passive: Dark Blades: Every basic attack after an ability (except for Shadow Blades) marks the target hit, revealing them and dealing an extra 10 (+5 per level)(+15% AP) on hit, plus the same amount if the target is hit again within 5 seconds. (From "Each basic attack after an ability reduces the armor/magic resist of the enemy hit by 2% for 4 seconds. Stacks up to five times."

Hidden Passive: When fighting against a Noxian, gains a buff that says "Noxian Hatred; Fight for your vengeance!" (Explained in lore)

991314Q: Mirror Spin: Launches 2 shuriken, curving at a narrow angle to meet again at the targeted point. Each one deals half of the damage, and can be intercepted. With Revolving Blade (His ult) active, it launches one at each point of the blade he is sitting on (Forward, and all 4 45's(a star pattern). These deal 80/126/174/220/266(+70% AP) magic damage total, and with ult each one does full damage. These cost 40/43/46/49/52 mana, and have a 8/7/6/5/4 second cool-down. These travel 1000 units and move at 2000 units per second. Both apply on hit affects, but Nijon only gets 50% of his lifesteal for the second blade to hit a single target. (From: for life steal only has a 50% life steal gain for the second one.)

991316W: Blade Portal: Instantly moves to the target location within 500 units. On every 5th usage, causes an explosion where he was and where he teleports to, dealing 50/60/70/80/90(+60% AP) magic damage (From 30/40/50/60/70). With Revolving Blade, the range is increased to 550 units, and damage is increased to 60/75/90/105/120(+65% AP)magic damage (from 40/55/70/85/100). Costs 50/58/66/74/82 mana, and has a 20/18/16/14/12 second cool-down. Cool-down is refreshed if a champion is killed within 5 seconds of usage. (Assists grant 50% reduction of cool-down.) (There is a "buff" for the explosion count, which says Blade Bomb x the number of times that you have used it.)

991319E: Shadow Blades: The next three basic attacks deal 15/20/25/30/35(+20% AP) bonus magic damage and leave a mark for 4/4/5/5/6 seconds, which is activated (dealing 20/25/30/35/40 [+20% AP] magic damage) when a skill or basic attack hits the enemy. Costs 40/42/44/46/48 mana with a 16/15/14/13/12 second cooldown. If an enemy is hit with two Shadow Blades in a row, the mark is activated and refreshed, much like Lux's ult. With Revolving Blade active, each bounce from his ult adds the mark as though each was one hit, with each bounce dealing full bonus damage instead of being reduced. Marked targets are prioritized when Revolving Blade attacks bounce.

991315R: Revolving Blade: Nijon summons a giant shuriken, which he then sits on in Lotus Position, giving all abilities a bonus, as well as 30/35/40 movement speed, 25/30/30% attack speed, 20/22/24 ability power, and basic attacks bounce twice, dealing 25% less damage per extra hit. Costs 70/75/80 mana and has a 100/95/90 second cool-down. Lasts 6/6/7 seconds.

Tips:

Build: Start with a Doran's Ring and Two Health Potions. After that, get Boots of Speed and rush Nashor's Tooth, as the Attack Speed and Ability Power boost will help later, once you have your ultimate. Next, go for standard Ability Power items. Get Sorcerer's Shoes, Rabadon's Deathcap, Archangel's Staff, and Deathfire Grasp Luden' Echo. Finally, sell Doran's Ring and get Zhonya's Hourglass.

Ability Order: Start with Q, then get one point in W and E before maxing Q. Max his E second. Max his W last.

Skill Tips: Try and hit the same person with both parts of your Q, so that the full damage is dealt. Use the refresh on your W like Katarina's E. Despite being an assassin, Nijon has little burst, so high attack speed and AP is essential, such as Nashor's Tooth, so that you can fully hit them with you E's damage. The explosion on your W can be used quite efficiently when running, as your chaser will often run right into it if they are close.

Team Fights: Use R/E/W/Q (Tip for remembering that: Rewq them!) to deal the most damage right away, then get out, and hit from afar with your Q once your ult is used up.

Lore Redo by sharpshot124: Nijon was an orphaned boy who was risen by the monks of a small monastery in Ionia. He led a normal life, working in the monastery, until the Noxians invaded his homeland. As the battle crept closer to his home the women and children hid in the sanctuary, where documents of the monks' forbidden shuriken art was kept safe, while the monks left to aid their people in battle.

Only one monk returned, who had an arm completely severed by a Noxian wielding a massive axe. Everyone on the monastery fled further inland consumed by fear and grief, but Nijon remained behind. Nijon spent every waking hour he could studying and practicing the art left behind by his fallen guardians. Nijon practiced his art by hunting in order to survive. When Nijon heard that the hero of his homeland, Irelia, was leaving to join the League of Legends, Nijon found inspiration in this and trained feverishly until the day he felt ready and departed to the League.

As he traveled through Runeterra, Noxian spies recognized the crest he bore from his abandoned monastery, and attempted to sabotage his entry to the League by spreading lies and stopping him every time he approached the gates. After trying to enter time and time again, he finally unleashed his abilities and teleported straight to the gate when the Noxians attempted to stop him, blowing a hole in the gates into the League and walking in uncontested.

Original Lore: Nijon was just a normal boy, working hard at a monastery in Ionia his whole life. Then it happened. The invasion. He was told to hide, to preserve what remained. He did that, and far more. He unlocked the ancient and deadly arts of the shuriken. He quickly mastered this power and created his own weapon, a huge shuriken of massive power. And he was mad. He wanted revenge. And boy was he getting it.

He traveled to the League, knowing that there, he could stop the Noxians. But somehow, they had learned of him, and beaten him there, spreading lies about how he was a monster, and must be destroyed. He barely escaped with his life, not understanding this response. The next day, he tried again. And the next, again. Each time he barely got away.

One day he had had enough. He didn't run. He fought. Teleporting behind them, he caused a massive explosion, literally opening the League gates to him, and knocking the guards back. Seeing the hole in the gates, he just walked right in, unchallenged by those who had seen him.

I was just taking another look at his abilities, and was wondering if people thought his CD's were too long. Any ideas?

An idea I had for buffing his passive slightly was to make it so that the stacks refreshed when he casts an ability, so that he has a chance to keep it running solely on his Q if necessary, and because everyone loves having something to spam, right? (Thanks Eve!)

I'll start with the base stats. Everything seems in order, mana scaling might be a little high, but that's no biggy. His attack damage and attack damage scaling are very low. Even mages will usually have around 50 AD at level 1 and 100 AD at level 18. His attack range is also very long for an assassin mid laner. Everything else seems to be in order.

Now onto the abilities.

Passive: This passive is very dull, not to mention weak. 2% of someone's armor and magic resist is negligible. If I had 100 armor, this ability would bring me down to 98 after 1 stack and 90 after full stacks. There's also a thematic problem here. You claim your Champion is an assassin, but give him a passive that relies on extended fights to be used to its full potential. This ability does not belong on an assassin.

Q: I get this ability. I do. You throw out 2 shurikens. They curve and intersect at a targeted point. Each shuriken deals damage to the first enemy they hit. The only thing I don't get is the interaction between this ability and your ult. Also, the only reason I was able to understand what this ability is because a long time ago I made a Champion with a very similar ability. If I hadn't, I would have gotten lost in the wording you used. It's confusing. And I don't understand the lifesteal part at the end.

W: The damage of this ability is very underwhelming, even when it's increased by your ult. This ability also just feels... out place. I'll get back to this later.

E: Again, this ability does not belong on an assassin. Assassins don't want to take their sweet time auto-attacking to deal damage. Assassins need to go in, kill, and get out. Think of Zed. He ults, pops his abilities, tries to get his passive empowered auto-attack off, and then dips. Yes, Zed's auto-attacks do hurt, but he's an AD assassin, so his auto-attacks hurt as a bi-product of his build. You don't build Zed to be an auto-attacking machine like Master Yi or Tryndamere.

R: This ult is very boring. It gives you buffs and makes your auto-attacks bounce, which again is not very assassin-y.

Final Thoughts: Nijon is by no means an assassin. Assassins generally have high burst and at least 2 forms of mobility. Personally, which his long basic attack range, his ult causing his auto-attacks to bounce, and his Q applying on-hit effects, Nijon, despite his AP scalings, is much more suited to be an ADC. And if you're going to say "But he has AP scalings on all his abilities", I'll say well so do Kog'Maw and Ezreal, and although they're being played as AP mid laners now, they still make formidable ADC's. Furthermore, what theme is this Champion supposed to fulfill? Who is Nijon? At first I thought he was a shadowy ninja like Zed, but then I saw his Q, W, and, and R. Mirror Spin, Blade Portal, and Revolving Blade. Mirror Spin could be shadowy if you changed the name, but Blade Portal causes an explosion every 5th use, and explosions are not shadowy. I will give you this: Nijon's Q has potential.

I would focus on giving Nijon an identity. Right now he doesn't feel like a Champion. He just feels like a passive, 3 basic abilities, and an ultimate that have very little synergy and originality. I would also work on finding a more cohesive way of organizing your ability descriptions.
