RiotBioluminescence74 votesI love these so much. While (being a big Sona fan) the Sona one is my favorite, I think the Vi one is the best. I'm particularly impressed that the artist (Jay the Human) included the particle effects from the champ teasers too - the butterflies, petals, etc.

It's mega awesome, but let's at least wait until the champ is out before adding to lore we haven't seen yet ;)
(I don't know Jihn's lore yet myself - I'm staying spoiler-free - but these pictures, at least the Garen and Vi ones, ring emotionally true in my opinion. I'm not as full of headcanon on Lee Sin's relationship to Sona, so I can't say that one fits in my brain as easily. YMMV.)

Go as far as a canon skin where cait and lux go FU***n Ballistic in result. Shen for inherits the shadows and lee... Well you got me there, he would just keep being lee. booting you across the map.
This is not to say the lore won't be awesome anyway. I do hope you know where I am coming from.

XIII Vanitas3 votesThe Zed one is heart-breaking. It gives me the sensation that, deep inside, Shen still sees Zed as his (adoptive) brother and he can't help feeling sad that things had to take that turn. I don't know, looking at strong and balanced people breaking down is so moving, for me.

Starfish H20 votesGod damn. I'm okay with the everyone else, I may have started getting a little heartache but when I saw Zed with Shen I almost cried. If you read Zed's lore you can see he never truly hated anyone. He was just jealous of Shen. Now he dies and even Shen mourns him.
HAIL WHYDRA7 votesI would have this huge theory craft post on how Shen could never bring himself to kill Zed outside of the league, since wherever Light is cast, a Shadow follows. Light of course being Shen, and the Shadow being Zed. They are the perfect 'Balance' to each other, and with Shen realizing that without Zed there is no true balance. No perfect harmony, as Shen's lore states. Light without his Shadow.

JusticePauldrons4 votesI felt like all of these were really well done besides the Garen one. Don't get me wrong, it is still fantastic, but the art style just seems totally different from the others so it doesn't feel like it fits well. I feel like it would have been more impactful if Kat has been the one standing over him, or if she was just sitting moody in the corner there while Lux was in the same position.
My favorites by far are the Zed and Vi ones though. The Zed one truly gives you the feeling the Shen is filled with regret and guilt over the fate of his old friend, as if there was something he could have done to save him, that he was never beyond redemption.
The Vi one is just a punch to the feels. I love it.
Laughing Fish1 votesGaren's death would be handled quite differently than the rest, so it makes since his art style was different as well. Demacian's take great pride in maintaining their honor to the death, and thus are unafraid of dying. As it states in Kindred's lore, true Demacians will always take lambs arrow. While everyone around him would still feel profound sadness and loss at Garen's death, they would be required by Demacian custom and honor to maintain composure. I think the artist did a good job at portraying order, while showing the darkness is closing in. The peace is hanging by a thread.
Also, Katarina would not be allowed anywhere near Garen's funeral. Garen is the poster boy for Demacia, and thus his funeral and burial would be attended by thousands of Demacians (especially Jarvan III and Jarvan IV), and would be surrounded by the kings guards. Katarina is good, but no mortal is that good. She would be killed if she tried to attend.

Laughing Fish1 votesHe could, but why would he? One: Garen has repeatedly denied his attraction to Katarina, so J4 most likely does not know. And Two: That would look bad having a Noxian at Garen's funeral. The Crownguards would take it as an insult to their honor. And as we learned from Fiora's lore, the Crownguards do not take insults to their honor very well.
