As a child, Maria Laveau was raised in a wealthy family in Noxus. However, her family was accused of using black magics and was exiled from Noxus, and so they headed off too the Voodoo Lands. Her mother and father were powerful users of black magics, and not to be over shadowed by the Grey Order, who was already a well established governing body in the Voodoo Lands, the Laveaus proclaimed themselves royalty and built a small kingdom in the Voodoo Lands.

Maria had an elder sister, and on the day of her sister's wedding, a monstrous demon ate her. After which, her parents went mad and drove themselves to ruin in pursuit of the demon, to no avail. Now, being the sole surviving member of her name, and a newly crowned queen of a crumbling kingdom, Maria will stop at nothing too see her kingdom grow.

Ranged Marksmen/Mage

Passive - Enchanting Visage: Maria's appearance changes, becoming more youthful, if she has recently killed an enemy champion or X amount of minions or monsters, or elderly, if she has recently died. Her movement speed increases when she appears youthful, and her ability power increases if she appears elderly.

Q - Witch Rifle - Passive: Maria periodically spawns spirits that orbit her. (CD Medium)

Active: Maria fires a bullet from her rifle, dealing magic damage to all enemies in a line. If the bullet hits a spirit, it explodes, slowing and poisoning enemies caught in the explosion for several seconds. (CD Short)

W - Ties that Bind: Maria can tether herself to an ally or enemy champion, with her hair. A % of the damage she takes is mitigated to her tethered target as damage over time, allies are tethered over a wider area, and are dealt the intended damage, regardless if the tether was broken early, but never below 1 health, enemies can break the tether by stepping out of range or silencing Maria, stopping the damage over time and returning the damage to Maria. (CD Kinda Long)

E - Enveloping Magics: Maria surrounds herself with her hair, shielding herself, increasing her ability power, and allowing her basic attacks to apply an on hit effect that deals her ability power in magic damage, as long as the shield remains active. (CD Medium)

R - Sacrificial Pact: Maria creates a large summoning circle on a target area, instantly killing all minions and non-epic monsters in it. After, Maria summons ghostly, demonic versions of the creatures she sacrificed, which violently push down the closest lane they were summoned in. (CD Long)

Like just about everything in your champ concept. I love the potential in this, possible Tahm and Annie connections right?

Would like to see this get more attention so I'll ask a few questions......

  1. Q Active: "Maria fires a bullet from her rifle, dealing magic damage to all enemies in a line. If the bullet hits a spirit" I thought the spirits orbit Maria, do you mean enemy champ?

  2. Caitlyn also has a rifle, since champs have their own unique fighting style does this not feel too similar?

  3. The R for Maria seems only useful during laning phase. If she were in the jungle there is chance she'd miss her ult on a cleared camp! If shes in the river, then its "RUN for blue/red, I'll brb while you guys fight!" This just sounds un-fun to a degree.
