[Champion Concept] Mat, the Mystic Vandal
Lore: Coming soon tm (Piltover boy that runs away because he is bullied, finds the entrance to the Glade and collects the purple goop, channels his frustrations and anger into grafitti, discovers the goops powers.)
Passive: Mat's autos and abilities apply Mystic Paint to champions. Each auto applies 5 stacks of Mystic Paint, each ability applies 10 (Max 100 stacks (exception to ult)). Each stack amplifies allied auto attack damage by 1% (max 100%). Stacks remain for 10 seconds and then start to decay at a rate of 10 per second.
Q: Passive: While out of combat, Mat will periodically redip his brush in his paint. His next auto will deal % current magic damage once. Active: Splap!: Mat's next auto attack cleaves in a cone of paint, applying Mystic Paint to all Champions hit by it. After the auto, Mat is granted a single vault over an allied unit.
W: Mat locks himself looking in a target direction for 3 seconds, he sprays paint in a cone that blinds, reduces sight radius, and deals magic damage every second, while also applying Mystic Paint.
E: Mat tosses a paint bomb that explodes on champion or ground impact. It explodes in a circle, dealing magic damage and applying Mystic Paint to champions.
R: Mat marks a spot on the wall. The mark stays permanently on the wall until a second mark is placed. Once the second mark is placed, both marks instantly open a 2-way portal. The portal instantly transitions all champions who pass through to the other entrance and leaves them marked so that they cannot go back through. Enemies who pass through have their current Mystic Paint stack count doubled. Once 5 champions, allied or enemy, pass through the portal, the portal closes indefinitely.
Inspiration - As a painter, I have a lot of downtime to just think of champion kits, and seeing the paint that I'm using by the gallons, I keep thinking about that as a base for a champion design. I also recall a time during the season 4 assassin meta, that there was a calling for (for some reason) more assassins. The two that stood out to me were Tank/Assassin and Support/Assassin. Everyone kept saying that Support/Assassin couldn't be done, and I've mulled it over since then. Basically, I've decided that making the kit work would involve the champion amplifying the damage of his allies.
The name Mat is a play on the paint term "Matte" meaning "having a usually smooth even surface free from shine or highlights". Usually involved with metals or glass. Also, my boss' name is Matt, so it adds to it that way for me. I'm also gonna think about further paint puns, possibly involving Semi-Gloss, or Flat, or Eggshell or something.
It's late, and I just wanted to get this down before I forget. Looking for feedback and potential qualms or excitement about it or whatever. I'll be back to edit this overtime.
