Royal Guard Fiora: A letter to Riot
I sent this in as a ticket just recently
Today, you unveiled your hero rework for Fiora the Grand Duellist.
As part of the process of reworking her kit, you saw fit to change her visual design and the look of all of her skins.
Normally, in the course of a hero rework, this would be a welcome occasion. But in this case it is the exact opposite for two reasons:
- Fiora is a relatively recent hero and her original art design has held up well.
- Fiora's new design is a relatively large departure for a hero who has otherwise kept the same theme after his/her rework.
The largest and most painful blow is that the absolute WORST-hit skin is Royal Guard Fiora.
I own this (pre-rework) skin and it is (was??) one of my top ten favorite skins in the entire game. The pre-rework version of Royal Guard Fiora perfectly marries the "French musketeer" theme to Fiora's visual style in a sleek and streamlined fashion.
The NEW version of Royal Guard Fiora is an absolute ABORTION. Not only is it ridiculously frilly but it is also nightmarishly garish with its neon yellow colour scheme and 80's prostitute boots. To top it off, Fiora's face in this skin looks like some sort of horrible cross between Bruce Jenner and Michael Jackson.
I have played League of Legends since beta, and have long supported your company with ample purchases of RP. Being repaid in this way displeases me.
What I request is either (1) a refund of the RP cost of this skin, which I have owned and happily used for years prior to this butchery of it, or (2) for you to replace it in my skin collection with any of Fiora's other skins.
You have taken one of my favorite skins in the game and utterly destroyed it. To the point that I cannot bear to even look at it, let alone to play it. Make this right, please.
