[NEW VO] I can no longer play any GP skin which I own except for Captain Gangplank due to ANGRY VO

I started playing LoL when it was in beta, and the very first champ I saved IP for was gangplank. What wasnt to love? He was an over-the-top funny pirate with a silly PG rated joke, a cool hat, frightening body hair, and he could crit people in the face for 1.5K magic damage with parley.

My most memorable moment in LoL to this day remains a Gangplank moment from before Season 1. The enemy team sieged our base and forced a teamfight which was a massacre on both sides. Four of my teammates died and so did four of the enemy. The last enemy was at 30% HP and ran off into the upper jungle above blue base, and I chased him halfway around the map before shooting the coward down with a parley crit. All this time my friend in Skype was watching and going nuts. When I shot that enemy in the back of the face and got the ace, it was quite possibly the most satisfying takedown I have ever gotten in LoL.

At some point RIOT updated GP's model and made it much cleaner and nicer. His chest hair got trimmed but he also started getting nice new skins like Spec Ops Commando GP and Sailor GP and Minuteman GP. No matter which one I played any given game with, he remained a jolly and festive murderer, gleefully cutting down enemies with his cutlass in between pistol executions and across-the-map killsteals with his ult.

Critplank, Bankplank, Tankplank, Gankplank, KoreaPlank; I did it all. I stacked multiple IE's like a madman on some games and I went HOG wild with the best of em on others. Sometimes I even went AP-Plank and overdosed on Vitamin 'K just to troll people.

Then the second rework occurred and GP received yet another visual change, and a new VO to boot. At first I was apprehensive but I quickly grew to love the (FIRST) new VO. Sure he wasn't as silly anymore, but he was now a LEADER. He was both grim and murderous but also strangely inspirational and strategic. Some of his lines even tied into nautical/maritime lore, like the old sailor he is. Yet he still retained enough humor to bridge the gap to the old GP we all loved.

Then, a gutpunch: Gangplank was disabled ingame and killed off in lore.

I am not going to lie: I was really mad at how long he was disabled. He [predictably] survived the assassination and got a new robot arm and Angry Gangplank VO. Cool. A neat new skin with voice effects.

Then it turned out this is now his base skin. At first I was mad, but then I saw that every GP player would get Classic Gangplank for free. An actual cool thing by RIOT. I was looking forward to adding what was basically a free 1350 RP equivalent skin to my collection.

Too bad it all went to shít the first time I queued in to a game with spec ops GP and had the displeasure of playing this SMILING HAPPY FACED SKIN with the voice over of a bitter angry fiend driven by revenge. I was even madder to discover that all the GP skins I own are now suffering from the same disconnect between appearance and VO (I dont have the wooden or ghost or sultan skins so I cannot comment on them) .

Now I cannot play any skin without losing all the fun of gangplank. Old GP was festive and jolly. Newest gangplank is bitter and malicious. "Classic" Captain Gangplank was a good compromise between the extremes, but the NEW VO does not work with ANY of the skins. I can no longer roleplay a pirate captain or a jolly pirate unless I use one specific classic skin.

This is just like what RIOT did with Trundle, except with voice instead of model

TLDR: ANGRY Gangplank voiceover should only be on his new base skin (RevengePlank) and GhostPlank, which it makes sense on. CommandoPlank, AMERICA Plank and Popeye Plank should all use the Captain Gangplank VO, which fits them much better.
