Annual VS Events

Hello summoners,

the VS event featuring Riven and Yasuo was alost one year ago and no one is talking about it anymore. But I really want such an event to return in the future, if possible, even as an annual thing.

It was an extremely fun event for me. I liked to have a side to chose from, discussing the upsides and downsides of each side here in the boards with others. We got 2 high quality legendary skins from it, icons, alot of loot and even a small changing reward for the side that won the tournament (the comic end).

Surely I am not the only one to want this to return, so I think we should suggest new themes for Riot to explore here. What different philosophies would you want to see fighting each other in a big event? Which champions (with what kind of skin) could represent each side here? Maybe we can make Riot continuing this event in the future if we suggest some really good stuff, I just don't want this concept to die.

Nice idea, Viktor with an ice theme could be pretty cool looking. Could also tab into the "emotion vs logic" area, which was a thematic for Chaos VS Order. Fire could represent emotion, while Ice is the cold and calculating side.

Somehow I get the feeling that the boards are really obsessed with Diana. But yeah, definitely a possible VS event for the future. ^^

Kayle vs Morgana One which the community have been asking for. I have a hard time naming the event though due to the line between good vs evil being vague in their lore. great opportunity for some lore updates as well as some high quality skins for both.

Could be a great thing to celebrate their duo VGU for sure.

That the line between good and evil is vague is actually something great! One thing that really made the last VS event fun for me was that there were arguments for both sides, you could relate to any of them.

Some people misunderstood it and thought it is about good or evil, but that shouldn't be the thing. It would mean that one side is "clearly wrong" and the other "clearly right". But both sides in that event had their individual up- and downsides, making the question which side to chose way more complicated.

Order was basically giving up any personal freedom, but achieves the maximum safety for everyone. Chaos gives up safety completely, but you get the freedom to do whatever you want.

As a theme for your VS event, I have a hard time coming up with something myself. It kinda depends in which way Kayle and Morgana are going to be reworked.

i was gonna kinda bash riot on how they "failed" on implementing the gray area many people love with certain characters by making Yasuo evil and Riven good but i stopped myself and realized how stupid i was.

That gray area, that thin line between good and evil, they delivered on that perfectly with their 1st VS event imo. Thinking about it now i seriously think that it's the sole reason why they changed the name of the skins from Demonblade Yasuo/Angleblade Riven to Dawn- and Night bringer, to remove the bias of demon = bad and angle = good, to make them coexist. There's no sunset without sunrise and vice versa, 2 sides of the same coin, yin and yang... yeah i'm running out of metaphors but you know what i mean XP

I really hope if Kayle and Morgana gets any kind of event/rework/lore update that riot keeps this gray area and don't go straight up stereotypical good light angle and fallen dark bad one.
