Piltover's lack of champions

Hello summoners,

waiting for the next champion to get teasered, I was thinking quite alot about one of my favourite factions in the game, hoping that the next champion will be an addition to it's roster. Riot released a comic about Ziggs and Jinx, they officially made Ziggs a Zaunite. I completely agree with that decision, since Ziggs always felt more like a Zaunite champion for me. But that means that the current roster of Piltover champions consists of: Caitlyn Camille Ezreal Heimerdinger Jayce Orianna Vi

I wish for this region to get more champions in the future and in this thread, I want to tackle one problem I see in that department. Piltover has a steampunk theme, with some more futuristic aspects. The same goes for Zaun, but Zaun does have more champions. Many champion concepts will naturally go to Zaun, since that city has the aspect of mad scientists, failed experiments, slums and many others.

So in my opinion, we have to contribute some champion themes we would like to see in the future, fitting to Piltover. Therefore, I want you people to share any bit of concept you could imagine for future Pilties. You can contribute anything you like, may it be appearance, personality, kit concepts....

And I would like to make a start.

Hacker with sentient hextech device I would like to get (preferably young female) champion, who is working with Piltover's Finest, but from the background. She should gather information with cameras and give instructions from safe distance. I imagine her having some sociophobia, she doesn't want to interact directly with other people. The only "person" she doesn't mind to interact regularely with is her sentient hextech device, the brackern in the crystal awakened. Most likely being a support.

Criminal We got Caitlyn and Vi as Piltover's Finest, yet the only criminal we got interacting with them directly is Jinx, who is a Zaunite. Jinx is the antagonist for both, but she is more intertwined with Vi when it comes to lore. I would like another criminal, coming from Piltover, who is more related to Caitlyn when it comes to lore. Probably male, being completely different from Jinx. He isn't chaotic, but plans all his crimes thoroughly. Could imagine him being an assassin played in the jungle or mid lane.

Mechanic It is kinda sad that the concept for CeeCee didn't make it through and they used the ideas they had for Braum instead. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/3/31/Braum_CeeCee_pre-concept.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150307164955 We got champions for this trope, like Heimerdinger, Jayce and Viktor. But looking at these, we notice that these champions are usually damage oriented. I would like to see a mechanic champion, who is more defensive, a tank. Maybe even kit interactions with towers, making him/her the prime anti sieging tank.

Several Rioters agreed multiple times, that they want to implement Urgot's old Ultimate back in the game with a new Champion…

Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverser was just too much fun to use. A lot of players had a blast with it. The outplays you could create with this ability just felt so rewarding, phew.

A Piltover Tank, who uses a Hextech Device for this whole procedure would just fit perfectly.

What about a medic champion? Someone who uses Hextechnology to heal people instead of healing with just magic? I've never seen anyone like that in League.

Or maybe a mage gunner. Basically he/she has a gun as their primary weapon but its attacks are based on ability power.

Maybe give a rifleman a shot. So far we have gunners who use two pistols, a sniper rifle, a pistol paired with a sword, a helicopter with rockets and a machine gun, a rocket launcher paired with a minigun, a blow gun, a handheld cannon, A big arm gun attached to a hideous but lovable abomination, and a shotgun that actually shoots like a shotgun. But we haven't seen a character who uses a rifle. A standard weapon used by an average foot soldier. It could be an assault rifle, it can be a hunting rifle. Though I'd like to see someone use an assault rifle as a primar weapon. Perhaps give details about Piltover's Military.

Speaking of which, there isn't much said about the arsenal of Piltover's Military or if Piltover even has a military. Is the law enforcement also the military? Is it the Megling Gunners? Cause they seem more affiliated with Bandle City.

What about the Screaming Yipsnakes? Corki's current lore (If they do not plan to change it) states that he use to be part of a squadron before they were disbanded. What happen to the rest of the pilots? Are they affiliated with another military group? Do they plan to go back to the battlefield just as Corki did?

I know! How about a tank? Literally a tank. We have Corki who uses a helicopter to fight and Rumble has a mech to make up for his yordle stature so it shouldn't be a problem for another yordle to use a vehicle like a tank. Though this concept would be difficult to pull off because the most efficient tanks always have a crew instead of just one person controlling the machine. But because it's Hextechnology, it shouldn't be a problem for an engineer to design a tank that's used for one person.

I would love to explore these types of champions and play as them in League. But I am willing to make sure that it's balanced with all the other types of champions from different places, but based on how generic looking these new champions are these days (Except for Ornn), then it's okay for more technological champions to come in.

Hhm.... Well I did have an idea for a "Shuriman" champion that was from Piltover, let me see if I can find the details on my computer.

Champion Name: Aral Class: Tank/Fighter General Stats: Moderate durability (Increased by passive) good base damage but poor scaling, low mobility Affiliation: Shurima Friends: Rengar, Rammus Rivals: Rek'Sai

Concept

Personality

Lore Former hunter. Retired to a life in Shurima. Wife was a geologist studying old Shurima and believed there to be a lost source of water that could change the face of Shurima. They went out to find it and their camp was attacked by Rek'Sai and her kin. Aral's machines exploded and caused a fire. Rek'sai ate his wife and his son burned alive. Now pursues Rek'Sai like Ahab, Moby Dick.

P: Perserverence Whenever Aral is hit by enemy CC, he gains Perserverence, increasing his Armor and MR by 5%, this buff stacks up to six times.

Q: Cathite Harpoon Aral launches his harpoon in a straight line, dealing true damage to all enemies it passes through. After 5 seconds or if Aral activates the ability a second time, the harpoon will return to him, knocking enemy champions it hits towards his location.

W: Hydraulic Hammer Aral fires his hydralic hammer, dealing true damage and knocking back enemies in a short line.

E: Tremor Sensor Aral launches a motion sensor at target location, this sensor will notify him and his team any time an enemy champion passes within its range and lasts 20 seconds or until it is destroyed.

R: Last Stand Aral anchors himself to the ground, making himself unable to move nor be effected by crowd control effects. While in this form, Aral's abilities change and gain reduced cooldowns. This ability lasts 10 seconds

Cathite Harpoon attaches itself to the first enemy champion it hits, making them unable to leave the maximum range of the ability.

Hydraulic Hammer will create a large tremor radiating out from Aral, dealing true damage to all enemies it hits.

Tremor Sensors are replaced with delayed bombs that detonate after 3 seconds, dealing true damage.

Last Stand can be ended early by activating the ability a second time while it is active.

So I know that you're thinking about one thing "OMG TRUE DAMAGE ON ALL ABILITIES?!" well yes but all of it would be tuned so that it's not a big problem and his scalings would be low and there's no % damage in his kit. I was inspired by Timbersaw from DotA who deals pure (Their version of true) damage with his abilities as well. I just wanted someone that always hit pretty hard but moved slow and lacks the ability to really carry the game.

Lot of these are blank because I never continued my work on him because I focused on three other champion ideas (They were part of my application to Riot) but I could build him up from here if anyone was interested enough.

As someone who heavily enjoys Orianna along with Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx's storyline, I would love to see another champion who fits into either of those groups. Another criminal would be a lot of fun.

I just want more Orianna, Jinx, Caitlyn, or Vi lore :(

Edit: A mechanic that has interactions with towers, inhibitors, or terrain is an amazing concept. I've always loved Azir's passive and would like to see more in the future.

Camille was released almost a year ago I don't think there'll be another Piltovan quite so soon. The void is in need of way more love that Piltover right now both interms of champions and lore update

well considering we got camille fairly recently i dont expect to see another piltover champ in awhile (rip)

that being said if we were to base off of factions on which faction hasnt had a champ in awhile i think it would be (correct me if im wrong)

a demacian with lucian being the last new champion originating from there

I had an idea for a Piltover champion who had a blade with a sentient Brackern crystal embedded in it. His gameplay fantasy was mostly for his passive, where his autoattacks ignore shields if you charge it up (basically meaning use spells or autos on champions five times in a row). And in his ultimate he sent out his blade, allowing him to control it, with the blade auto-attacking from a distance without him having to stop moving (however, he himself cannot auto or cast spells during this time).

His lore, though, was basically him being an amoral sociopath, which is something we already have in Viktor (and to a lesser extent, Camille), but instead of Viktor wanting to purge all emotion, he messes with people's minds to manipulate them into private wealth. He sees both people and his sentient blade as mere tools for his private gain. Rather than Viktor's extreme idealism, he just doesn't care. The only joy he gets is from conning and trolling people, kind of like Tahm Kench, but he uses more science rather than persuasion.

We could really go for a new female tank. We only have Sejuani Poppy andLeona. 2 of which aren't very unique. It'd be nice to see a female hextech golem like Blitzcrank (Not with the hook of course).

Maybe recycling some of CeeCee's design for the kit would be great.
