Some new tank items

#Glacial Chestplate I has brought to my attention that armor building tanks that are mana depended like Malphite don't have many armor option or a real starting item compaired to other tanks. We have a great luxery of mr and health items for them but when it comes to armor we are often stuck with item 3068 what is more suitable as a second item during the lack of sustain. So I0 want introduce a new item that would make the road to items like item 3800 & item 3110 a little bit easyier again:

  • Recipe: item 1029 (300) + item 1027 (350) + 450 = 1100
  • Unique Passive: Upon entering combat with an enemy champion gain 10 Armor and (25% rapidly decaying movementspeed over 2 seconds to a minimal of 5% movementspeed) for 5 seconds.
  • Build into: item 3800 [Glacial Chestplate + item 3067], item 3110 [Glacial Chestplate + item 3024]

#Cinder Line mr item I said before that we already have a great amount of mr options for tanks. However most of them are not designed for manaless champions. I want to make top Shen back a little bit more viable by introducing a new item that would allow him to deal a little bit more damage while also giving lategame tank the option to provide some peneration to the team:

  • Recipe: item 3751 (900) + item 1057 (720) + 1180 [=2800]
  • UNIQUE – IMMOLATE: Deals 16 − 33 (based on level) magic damage per second to nearby enemies and reduces nearby enemy magic resistances by 5% (max 30%). Deals 「 100% bonus 」 magic damage to minions and monsters (325 range).

With all the new mr items introduced I believe it's time that other roles can finally assist against this stacking as well.

The issue with trying to make an item that'll allow top lane tanks to be decent again is the fact fighters/juggernauts are just going to buy it and abuse it and get it nerfed into the ground anyway.

the mr version of sunfire cape is beyond busted

the armor on entering a fight is kinda meaningless since tanks don't really care about dmg from baron/drake or monsters it the buff will be up always when it is needed ie it's not good

Shouldn't the glacial chestplate have a cooldown? Or were you meaning it's buff is refreshed while maintaining combat? I was half expecting the MR cinder item to deal physical damage, so it wouldn't be a must-buy for tanks to farm with.

The problem with tank items is that they dont synergise that well with each other . Like adcs get base AD multiplied with attack speed crit and armour pen so every item scales with each other . So tanks have to get broken base stats to be viable and they get outscaled by everything . Some ideas : Lower nearby enemies armour and mr based on your armour and mr Sunfire doing %bonus health damage Single target abilities that hit you get 50% more cooldown Like items that let tanks scale and nerf the tanks base stats and things like cinders and bramble vest so they are weak early and scale late game . Because tanks are balanced around bad synergy on their items making good items for tanks is gonna break the game
