A dungeon crawler would be great for LoL fans who want an MMO
A League MMO is occasionally asked for on the boards, and Riot does have the resources to make one. But I believe that such a game would have to be an evolution of League, not just a totally different game. I would prefer a top-down dungeon crawler like Diablo or MU, but with League's controls and abilities. Most MMOs follow a terribly balanced stat system, where all of your equipment gives you an array of benefits. With a League MMO, your progression should instead let you turn your character into your desired champion concept by the end game. So, you would have your QWER abilities, which you can unlock for each class (future content would involve the introduction of new abilities), your two summoner spells, which you can unlock as certain character levels, a trinket equipment item, and maybe two to three stat items, max (the ones from LoL base game).
You could also customize your base stats at level 1, but as you level up your summoner level, instead of ranking up your stats manually, you rank up the scaling of a stat or a QWER ability. For example,
has 50 AD at level 1, and gains +2.7. In this game, she would start at 50 +0.5 per level, and each summoner level she can upgrade her AD to be +0.1 each time. At level 23, she could have 50 + 2.7. The purpose of this system is because even though your progression is permanent in PvE, competitive PvP matches still use 1-18 Moba scaling. Of course, there would be a maximum amount you could devote to each stat or ability.
It's a rusty idea, but I believe I'm on to something here.
