Ignis, The Tormented Soul Mid/Top/Jungle Assassin/Fighter

EDIT 1: Added a Simplified description for his Ult, i hope it helps.

Ignis is a champion that I can see being more powerful at lower levels/elo due to grouping up and warding being one of the better ways to stop him, and the lack of that at those levels of play heavily favors him. His play style punishes those who venture too far from the team/refuse to group, Kind of a “Lost and alone in the dark forest” thing going on here. 1v1ing an Ignis is highly not recommended due to his heavy CC and dueling power, giving even some of the more mobile champions something to fear when fighting him. However, most of the damage Ignis does is from his basic attacks Ignis is a squishy target with the ability to take down 1 opponent at a time, meaning he isn’t going to rush your team alone (unless he’s an idiot)

LORE: The story of Ignis is an ancient one, passed down from generation to generation in Ionia. These stories are very inconsistent, but all share some of the same details. Ignis was a kind man. Although often in solitude, he would help to train those whom he saw fit to do battle for Ionia, when needed. One night he was visited by a stranger who gave vision of things to come. He told Ignis that what he saw was to happen very soon and could not be stopped. Ignis was overcome by grief and anxiety to the point where he lost his sanity. Ignis remained behind locked doors, the fear of what he saw to come holding him there. Ignis has since been said to lurk in areas where the mind is most vulnerable and easy to corrupt. Many cases of insanity inflicted on the even the most healthy of people have attributed to catching a glimpse of him. Although they say he was eventually captured and sealed away in the temple, some legends don't just fade away.

Kind of a summary here on the 4 different debuffs and what happens if Ignis uses his basic attacks Q- Seed of Fear- Basic Attacks consume the debuff and blind W- Seed of Betrayal- Basic Attacks Consume the debuff and silence E- Seed of Paranoia- Basic Attacks consume the debuff and stun R- Seed Of Corruption- Basic Attacks do not consume this debuff. Ignis inflicts double damage to enemies with this debuff

Basic Attack- Ignis slashes the enemy with his Shade Daggers (Melee)

Passive- Astral Presence- Ignis takes 10% less Physical Damage and ignores unit collision.

Q- Shade Daggers Skillshot Mana Cost- 40/50/60/70/80 Range- Half of Jinx’s w range Cooldown- 7/6/5/4/3 seconds Ignis throws one of his daggers in a straight line stopping at the first unit hit and Dealing (5/20/35/50/65) (+95% AD) Physical damage. Ignis’s Basic attacks deal half damage while this ability is on Cooldown if it did not make contact. Damaged enemies are inflicted with Seed of Fear. Ignis’s basic attacks consume this debuff and silence the target.

W- **Shade of Betrayal ** Targeted Ability Mana Cost- 20/35/50/65/80 Range- about the same as a Zed W, must be an allied or neutral basic attack target in range of enemy to cast this ability. Cooldown- 30/27/24/21/18 seconds (Goes on Cooldown after the target is done attacking)

Ignis sends out a shade in a target direction. If the shade makes contact with an enemy champion, they will attack the closest allied units with their basic attacks for 2 seconds, if no allies are near they will attack neutral jungle monsters or towers. Any units they strike with their basic attacks during that time are inflicted with Seed of Betrayal. If Ignis basic attacks a target inflicted with Seed of Betrayal, they are blinded for 1.5 seconds.

E-Dark Pursuit Targeted Range- a bit longer then a Graves max range dash Mana Cost- 40/50/60/70/80 Cooldown- 20/18/16/14/12 seconds

Ignis dashes to a target enemy or neutral unit, inflicting (20/30/40/50/60)(+100% AP) Physical Damage. During this dash, Ignis is unaffected by all crowd control effects. The targeted unit is inflicted with Seed of Paranoia when the dash is complete. If Ignis basic attacks a unit inflicted with this debuff, they are stunned for 1 second.

R- Mental Corruption 1st cast- AOE- casts 2-6 targeted Casting Range- About the same as Trundles E AOE range- About the same size as Akali’s Twilight Shroud Teleport range- Global Mana Cost-100 at all ranks, teleport has no cost. Cooldown- 150/100/80(after 10 seconds without Ignis teleporting or when there are no more enemy champions he can teleport to.) Ignis covers an area with darkness, and inflicting all enemy champions in the Area with Seed of Corruption for 10 seconds. Ignis can activate this ability again within the next 10 seconds to teleport to a targeted enemy champion inflicted with the Seed of Corruption debuff. Enemies inflicted with Seed of Corruption take double damage from Ignis. Killing an enemy champion inflicted with Seed of Corruption refreshes all of the debuffs on all of the inflicted units from Ignis’s abilities and also allows Ignis to teleport again in the next 10 seconds.

Simplification: 1st cast is an AOE that applys the Seed of Corruption debuff. After this, for the next 10 seconds Ignis can reactivate this ability and target an enemy champion with Seed of Corruption to instantly warp to them. If he kills somebody with Seed of Corruption, the debuffs duration is refreshed on all enemys who have it, and allows for Ignis to teleport to a different enemy champion with Seed of Corruption again for the next 10 seconds. I dont know if that helps at all :)

The impression I get from this champion is just "very avarage". The lore is very brief and lackluster, although I assume you'll improve on that later on. The passive is just free stats. The basic abilities are just that - very basic, and doesn't really have any unique mechanics. The ult is kind of overcomplicated for what it actually does and is a bit hard to understand. It's not a bad basis to start off from, but overall I think you have a lot of work to do if you want this to be a good and fleshed out concept.

Some things I'd recommend to think about when updating this champion/doing other concepts:

  • What is the champions indended niche meant to be? Why would you pick this champion over any other?
  • What do you imagine this champions play pattern to be like? How fun would this champion be to play and play against? Does it create good gameplay, or is it just a "ball of stats"?
  • Does this champion have counterplay and meaningful streanghts and weaknesses?

Good luck in the competition. :)

the debuffs for the Q and W are reversed. In the initial summary listing q - r in a 1 - 4 manner Q blinds and W silences but in the actual description below that you have it backwards. jsut pointing it out for an editing touch up.
