Out of curiosity, why does everyone assume this? He's not permabanned with 6 bans, so why would 4 more make a difference? I mean, I hate Yasuos, but if he was such a massive issue, he'd already be permabanned, right?

Yasuo is one of those champs that's always a fringe ban due to his frustration level. Truly OP champs get banned ahead of him, but with 10 bans, you won't have to choose; just ban the OP champ and Yasuo together.

In low elos he has the potential to carry and wreck teams.

I just had a game the other day where every lane was doing fine, and then the Yasuo got fed top and singlehandedly carried his team and we lost. He had over 20 kills, he was pretty much his entire team's kills except for about 5 split amongst the rest of his team.

He looked like he might've been in a higher elo and knew what he was doing because he was dodging things really well, including Veig snares at the last second before he'd be snared.

Probably because there are more than 6 really strong contenders in the meta at the moment. Yasuo isn't a 'must-ban', but still remains a huge frustration. When there is only 6 bans, there's more priority champions to ban, allowing him to not reach permaban status. With ~~up to~~ 4 more bans (because Rito logic), it's more slots to ban annoying or difficult champions, which means more opportunities to ban Yasuo while also removing meta 'OP' champions.

The "priority bans" that good players think of don't really matter down here, we ban the pubstompers and annyoing AF champs like Yasuo and Fizz. We probably couldn't take advantage of the genuinely OP flavor of the month properly anyway.

Indeed, I am expecting Rubick to take this thread dead seriously and write another "destroying entire boards with one thread" thread, totally missing the point yet again and telling everyone to git gut, because "Riot implements 10 ban system to give each player agency over bans" except for when we actually use that agency and right to ban what we don't want to play against and it doesn't happen to be on Rubick's list of certificated bannables such as Lee Sin, Lulu or Ivern, we suck.

I recently just bought Yasou and he is super fun to play. In my opinion fizz is the real cancer (no skill needed for fizz). They should let one random player secure a champion before the banning phase.

Unlike yasuo, fizz can't 3v1 and walk out at full health.

Fizz can't get get half his health back with one auto.

Fizz doesn't have unlimited movement through minion waves.

Fizz can't melt tanks faster in .3 seconds.

Fizz can't block EVERYTHING with a wall.

If yasuo is fed early game, there is no counter play.

If Fizz is fed early game, spirit visage gets rid of his one shot ability.

Last season the champion i had killed the most was yasou. Still hate facing him. Yeah he isnt that op or broken and yes he got some counterplay. Doesnt mean he isnt a pain to face, has some mechanics that feel really unfair and that a lot of people prefer to play vs stronger champoins to just not have to deal with his bullshit.

People need to understand that the reason everyone hate Yasuo is not cause he is op,but cause he is sooo annoying to play against. The fact that he is dashing all the time hurt my eyes. Doesent matter if he is worst champ with zero dmg i just hate playing against him and his dashes,tornados and walls. Its just annoying like hell and that is why he is always getting a ban from me.

You know, if there's one thing I can thank Yasuo haters for, it's that they made me have to branch out and expand my champ pool. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to learn another champ and dumpster people, and know that that's not even my final form 😂
