Lore

From the frozen wastes of the Freljord to the southern reaches of Ionia and the coastline of Bilgewater, Vex is known as the toughest and most just outlaw hunter to have ever graced Runeterra. Born a bastard to a poor wench from Bilgewater, Vex’s childhood was rough. Growing up, his older sister primarily took care of him, as their mother was frequently drunk or out with men. When the other boys fought with him, as he was a small child, she would tend to his wounds. When men would show her unwanted attention, he’d protect her from their advances.

When Vex was out buying food one day, a group of boys attacked him. He fought them off after a prolonged fight. Feeling good, he returned home, only to find the house wrecked, his sister sobbing. Rushing to her, he found her laying on the floor ravaged, her clothes torn. Scooping her up, he held her as she sobbed herself to sleep. That next day, when he ensured the house was safe and locked up, he searched for the men who committed the unspeakable act. Hearing word on the street of the braggarts who raped his sister, he hunted them down, finding them in a store house. His rage spilling out, he tore into the men, beating them within an inch of their lives. Taking them in chains, he led them out into the street in front of his house. Yelling aloud, he accused them of their crime, and when none argued his sentence, he hung them from a makeshift gallows.

Taking his sister with him, he left Bilgewater for a safer home. He traveled far, using money from bounties collected to pay his way. Finally, he made a home in the countryside of Demacia. Leaving it to his sister, he continued his mission: to make his world safer, one act of justice at a time.

**Abilities

Innate: Law & Order- Whenever an enemy champion deals damage to Vex, that unit becomes affected by Law. Vex’s next basic attack against a unit with Law consumes the mark, dealing 30% bonus damage (bonus damage affected by Critical Strikes) and healing him for 7.5% of his missing health. Each unit has an 8 second cooldown for this effect. When Vex’s health is brought below 25%, he enter’s Order until he leaves combat for 5 seconds. Upon entering, he gains a shield that protects him from 50% of the damage dealt to him in the last 2.5 seconds. During Order, Law’s cooldown on each unit drops to 3 seconds, and consuming Law grants Vex 25% increased Movement Speed for 2 seconds.

Q: Shootout- Vex gains (60%, 75%, 90%, 105%, 120%) increased attack speed for 6 seconds and can go over the attack speed cap during this time. Takedowns on champions refresh this duration. Afterwards, he has his Attack speed reduced by 50% for 3 seconds, but he gains +20% movement speed during this time.

W: Deputy- Vex can deputize an allied champion, granting them extra effects during his other spells. Only one champion can be deputized at a time.

-The Deputy’s heals and shields on Vex are increased by 15% during Order. The Deputy’s CC’s duration is increased by 20% during Shootout. The Deputy gains bonus damage against Bound champions. The Deputy is healed for 15% of their missing health upon activation of Showdown.

E: Cuff ‘em- Vex throws a pair of cuffs in a target direction, dealing (25, 50, 75, 100, 125)(+100% AD) to the first enemy unit along its path and inflicting Bound on them for the next 5 seconds. Bound units can be released from the crowd control early by attacking and/or casting spells three times. Attacks made while Bound will miss the target, applying no damage or on hit effects, and spells cast while Bound will have no effect and will go directly onto cooldown.

R: Showdown Passive- Vex gains (0.5, 0.75, 1) attack damage per 1% of missing health, maxing out at (30, 45, 60) Attack Damage at 40% of max health or lower. Active- Vex targets an enemy champion, marking them with Showdown for 6 seconds. Basic attacks on that champion deal (10, 20, 30)(+10% of target’s max health) bonus damage on hit, and Vex gains 25% bonus movement speed while moving toward them. If Vex’s target dies during this time with an enemy champion nearby, Showdown bounces to that champion.

Gameplay

Vex is a champion designed to live on the edge. His great survival abilities, combined with his extremely high damage potential, make him a potent threat when dueling opponents, and his tendency to string together kills with his abilities makes him a strong threat in teamfights. His major weaknesses is that his short attack range and no movement abilities make kiting him not only possible, but also the best option for defeating him.
