New Champion: Nero

Long ago, while the world was young and still in the cradle. Long before the scourge of man and beast, before the ravages of time, and before the unending struggle for control, stood one being. Alone and endlessly searching for meaning, he walked the world in hope of finding more than the barren wastelands that had yet to give life to even a single tree. His tireless journey took him to the far edges of the world only to show that he was without meaning. Without purpose. He knew not his origin nor his destination. With nothing before him, he grew weary. Perilous travels had long worn his will and his soul. Soon enough, the essence of the world took notice of his existence, and deemed him a creation before his time. With one blast he was engulfed by molten rock. Unable to be destroyed, he entered a deep slumber, in which he lay. The recent catastrophic events of the age and staggering power of the beings that roamed it shook the world. Soon would he be awakened. Soon would they know. Soon the world would choose its champion.
