Paradox, the Gatekeeper of the Void

Paradox, the Gatekeeper for the Void:

Passive: Cosmic Energy: Whenever Paradox opens a void portal, him and surrounding allies regain 30 -> 80 mana (based on Paradox's level), and the mana is split among paradox and allies.

Q/Dimensional Rift: Paradox opens a one-way portal that only minions and allied projectiles can enter. The portal is a toggle costing 20/25/30/35/40 mana per second to keep active. If paradox walks out of range of a portal it will automatically close.

W/Dark Vortex: Paradox opens a one-way portal that can only absorb projectiles that come in contact with the portal, and is an exit to his (Dimensional Rift). The portal is also a toggle costing 20/25/30/35/40 mana per second to keep active. If paradox walks out of range of a portal it will automatically close.

E/Dark Convergence: Has both an active and passive. .Active: 70s/65s/60s/55s/50s cooldown. Costs 100 mana at all ranks. Paradox will target one portal and enter it and exit the other portal. .Passive: Ally projectiles that enter (Dimensional Rift) will exit (Dark Vortex). .Passive: Minions that enter the portal and exit (Dark Vortex) become void enraged gaining 5 attack damage at all ranks for a duration of 5 seconds.

R/Anti-matter Blast: Costs 100/125/150 mana to cast. 90s/75s/60s cooldown. Paradox becomes immobile and conjures up a sphere over a 1 second duration, and has 3 seconds to launch the projectile or else the sphere disappears and the ability goes on cooldown. When the projectile reaches its destination or is recasted by hitting the ult again, it will burst doing AoE damage (200/250/300 magic damage + 1.0 ability power) and slow the movement speed of units in the area by 30% and decays over 2 seconds. This ability can enter (Dimensional Rift) and exit (Dark Convergence).

Summary: Based on my original intentions, Paradox is a utility champion, who has a kit like no other champion in League. Based on the abilities below, Paradox only has one main source of dealing damage and that is his ult which is an AoE nuke. Positioning of Paradox's Q and W is very important because it can be used to block attacks and spells that could potentially kill Paradox, since he is a fairly squish champion. Landing his ult is very vital against 1v1s and in team fights. When laning, Paradox can't do much till level 3 and is a very mana hungry champion, but when he does get level 3, he will be able to buff his minions to push waves much more effectively. Thank you for checking out my champion concept, and I hope you like it. I am sorry but I do not yet have a concept art for this champion idea. Feel free to leave feedback.

Interesting, but it has issues.

Q needs to do something by itself, other than just eating minions and trolling your ADC's skillshots. Also, the per-second toggles look like they'd be a nightmare to make use of. And your E needs to do something, as opposed to just changing how the others work.

Q > Opens a portal. After a few seconds, the portal begins draining mana until it is closed. While it is open, projectiles that enter it are destroyed, and the portal deals AoE damage equal to 30% of the projectile's damage. While it is open, minions that move through the portal are put in stasis for several seconds, and are slowed at the end of the effect. W > Opens a directional portal. After a few seconds, the portal begins draining mana until it is closed. While it is open, projectiles that pass through it in the correct direction gain speed and damage (like a Jayce accelerator for the team). While it is open, minions and champions that move through the portal in the correct direction gain movement speed (less effect on champs), while minions and champions that move through it in the wrong direction are greatly slowed. Q+W > Projectiles that enter Q portal emerge from the W portal with W portal buffs instead of being destroyed and dealing AoE damage. Minions that enter the Q portal emerge from the W portal with the W portal buffs. This ability only works while the Q and W portals are relatively close to one another and not blocked by walls (because there could be too many shenanigans otherwise).

The ult bomb projectile through Q and W seems fine, but you might consider putting it on E instead so he has an in-combat ability he can regularly use without backup. Passive on something could be that he himself can move through portals (though other champs cannot). Maybe his R lifts the restrictions, or creates a different kind of portal. Maybe he summons something.

I also feel like his basic passive (mana refund) is both really boring and not particularly useful. Maybe after a short duration (time, casts, or time reduced by casts) he becomes intangible for a few seconds, or his next auto attack allows him to teleport a short distance before firing (like an Ez flash). The extra mobility will help you position portals and line up skillshots and such.

Q would be a circle or oval, effective from every direction, while W would be a funnel, taking things from side and pushing them all in the same direction.

The character will still have unprecedented troll potential if it can move/block/redirect ally skillshots, but I love the strategy and other stuff you can do. Q and W could effectively turn enemy skillshots around.

The only way for him to do damage is to basic attack as a mage or cast his ultimate.

He literally redirects allied skillshots, the definition of a troll.

His R is so underpowered and his mana costs are so high he might as well be a benefit to the enemy team.
