[NPC] Penny, the Secret Seller
Concepts can be for more than just Champions. We need to add in some non-playable characters for Riot's lore department to work with. To illustrate, I'll put this one up.
Penny (a.k.a. Penelope) is a travelling merchant known for her silver tongue and devious wiles that have made her one of the most successful swindlers in Valoran. She could con a beggar out of his last coin, or get a noble to sell his entire estate for a piece of junk, something that's made her more than a few enemies.
Penny wasn't always this rich and infamous, though. When she was younger, she was a slave in service to a Shuriman lord, forced to work as his accountant (of sorts). This proved rather invaluable to Penny in the long run, as it taught her the true value of money and how to use it. One day, Penny found that a large quantity of her master's gold had gone missing. Unfortunately for her, her master was not a kind soul and immediately blamed her, thinking she had stolen it. He had his men drag her out into the desert to leave her for the Xer'Sai, but Penny escaped her master's guards, leaving them to the Xer'Sai, and fled to a nearby cave. Within, she miraculously found her master's stolen gold, as well as the thieves that stole it.
With quick thinking, Penny convinced the thieves to spare her life by suggesting that they use their stolen goods outside of Shurima, as they would never be able to safely fence it otherwise. She also proved herself to them by swindling a Noxian count out of his estate, which served as the thieves' new headquarters. For the next few years, Penny continued to accrue herself and her fellow thieves a vast fortune, fencing various stolen goods to all manner of "stupid" customers.
But Penny's past eventually would catch up with her. Her former master had her tracked down by Sivir, the Battle Mistress, and he came personally to end Penny's life. His men burned down the thieves' hideout and slaughtered many of Penny's friends, but Penny was able to convince Sivir to switch to her side, bribing her with more money than her former master could ever offer. Accepting the deal, Sivir turned on her employer, who ordered his men to kill the both of them, but Sivir prevailed, killing Penny's former master.
Finally free from her past, Penny left the remains of her thieves' hideout and set out as a lone merchant, peddling her wares to all manner of unlucky suckers throughout Valoran.
Any good?
