Ryther, the Scoundrel Rogue [Revised]

Awhile ago, I made a champion concept for a classic d&d style rogue. Which can be found here. I made him your average assassin, and missed a clear opportunity. A sneaky rogue support. I've seen concepts, but that has yet so exist in game. So here we go.

Ryther, the Scoundrel Rogue

Role Support

Attack range 100 450 temporarily

Resource Mana

Play Style Offensive support, peel, team stealth

Gender Male

Race Human

Birthplace Noxus

Affiliation Noxus thieves guild

Occupation Guild Master

Weapons Dual knives. Poisons & Traps Hand Crossbow

Armor Light leather under a cloak & hood

Lore In the very underbelly of Noxus, lies the kingdom beneath the kingdom. The Noxian thieves guild. Run by no other than the cunning-above-all Ryther, normally only spoke of as, "the Rogue". Thieves are not compelled to follow any such rules, but nothing passes in the undercity without his knowledge. Rule number 1? The guild has no moral compass. Whatever gets paid for, gets done. Be it a simple prank on a lousy noble, or framing a king for murder, Ryther's blade-like mind gets it done. The guild doesn't only operate in Noxus, however. They have settlements in most relevant parts of Valoran.(<- Is this still cannon?)

Talon and Ryther once ran together in the guild when they were both just initiates. One would have called them inseparable, for a time. That time has long since passed. Talon was all but adopted into royalty, and left Ryther to rot in the underbelly of the city. The rogue resents Talon for this. If he has any plans for the Blade's Shadow, it has yet to be revealed. For now, our thief attempts to cause as much political turmoil as he can from the shadows, while making as much coin as possible. He hopes to one day rule Noxus from the undercity. A faceless and nameless king, to a throne lost in the veil of night.

PASSIVE: Ally Rat (2 part passive) Shadow's Refuge: While out of combat and moving extremely close to walls, you are permanently camouflaged. The reveal radius is large at level one, and goes down significantly by level 18.

Pick-pocket: Every 10/7/4/1 (Lvls 1/5/9/14) seconds Ryther can fire a mini-bolt from his hand crossbow. This attack does 10% less damage, but has 450 range. If fired from Shadow's Refuge, a pile of gold will drop at their feet.

Shadow's Refuge's stealth can be maintained up to .75 seconds after leaving a wall Hand crossbow shot applies on-hit effects and can crit Ryther will not fire the crossbow if he is within 100 units of his target The pile of gold is valued at 5-200 based on level Ryther, and 1 other ally are able to pick up the gold pile The gold pile will expire after 10 seconds

Q: Exposed Weakness (Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10) (Mana cost: 70/75/80/85/90) (Range: 150) Active: Ryther initiates a cunning strike on an enemy, revealing a weak spot in their armor to allies. The strike does 70/110/150/190/230(+.8 Bonus AD) (+.5 AP) physical damage. The enemies armor is then reduced by 20/25/30/35/40%(+1% per 10 Bonus AD), and they're afflicted with Lacerations for 4 seconds.

Lacerations: Each time the affected champion is auto attacked they are bled for 2(+1% per 125 AD)% of their max HP in physical damage over 3 seconds. An enemy can be bled up to 5 times. For a total of 10%(+5% per 125 AD) damage.

W: Dirty Tricks (Cooldown: 45/38/31/24/17) (Mana cost: 30 at all ranks.) (Range: 200) Passive: Ryther's basic attacks poison his foes, dealing 10/15/20/25/30 (.15 Bonus AD) magic damage per second over 2.5 seconds. The poison slows for 10%, which slowly advances to 60% over 10 seconds. It also decreases their damage dealt by 5%, which slowly advances to 30% over 10 seconds.

The poison doesn't stack Multiple applications only reapply the effect

Active: Ryther places a trip wire between 2 different pieces of terrain. The enemy who triggers the trap is slowed by 50% for 2 seconds, and releases a cloud of Dirty Tricks' poison for 4 seconds around their location. (About 350 range in radius)

Trap takes 3 seconds to arm Trap takes 1 auto to kill

E: Slip away (CD: 20/18/16/14/12) (Mana Cost: 90/85/80/75/70) (Range: 700) Active: You and a selected ally instantly exit combat and gain a 100/125/150/175/200% movement speed boost that decays over 1.5 seconds. For the next 3/3/4/4/5 seconds this ally can benefit from Shadow's Refuge's stealth.

Shadow's Refuge on allies work exactly how it does on Ryther They must remain out of combat and touching walls The reveal radius depends on Ryther's level

R: Noxian Eclipse (CD: 180/150/120) (Mana cost: 100 at all levels) (Range: 400 radius around Ryther) Active: Ryther and all nearby allies fade into invisibility. Noxian Eclipse lasts up to 3/4/5 seconds. During stealth, Ryther and his team gain 30/35/40% movement speed. If Ryther, or his alies deal physical damage to an enemy champion from Noxian Eclipse's stealth, they apply 1 stack of Laceration.

This is an invis, not camoflauge The bleed does not overcap Q's stacks

Disclaimer: I was really tired by the end of this, so I apologize if the numbers seem, uh.. not so bright. Thanks for reading if you got this far! I'll be leaving any extra notes or updates down here. I might try to draw him in the near future, here's to hoping I get new pencils soon!

So I'll be writing this comment as I go through each section to give you my own creator's tips I've kind of gathered over my time creating my own concepts and whatnot.

Base Information

  • Attack Range: I'm assuming you wanted to make this guy a melee with ranged capabilities, and as such you should increase his base attack range to 125, as 100 is less than basically every other champion that exists. 125 is the base attack range for melee champions.

Abilities

  • Passive

  • I would change the wording to the first part of his passive to "While moving out of combat near terrain, Ryther gains camouflage. The reveal radius starts out large and progressively shrinks as he levels."

  • Definitely change his crossbow passive to at least 10/9/8/7/6 seconds simply because he otherwise becomes a ranged champ at level 14. **Personally **I would increase it to 22/21/20/19/18 Seconds as it makes it a more rewarding passive rather than an annoying mechanic.

  • The gold pile should be similar to TF's passive or Klepto's gold bag rather than how you have it. I would make it "Pile of Gold grants between 20-100 Gold". How you have it right now makes it very useless early game and too strong late game. I would also make it so that only Ryther or any ally can pick it up, otherwise a bot lane can easily gain a lead for little to no risk.

  • Q: Exposed Weakness

  • This is **completely **overpowered all-around. If you want me to go over every little bit in a separate comment I will, but there's too much going on for me to cover in a reasonable time on this comment.

  • W: Dirty Tricks

  • The first part of this ability is honestly unnecessary. Not only is it just more things for the sake of more things, it is an even stronger version of Teemo's W on TOP of an active.

  • I actually kind of like the second part of this ability. However I would change it from enemy to enemy champion, otherwise minions can activate this ability. Also, I would make it an invisible trap that takes 2 hits to destroy. That way it's not just seen and destroyed instantly, especially when it takes as long as it does to set up.

  • E: Slip Away

  • I wouldn't say "pulls them out of combat" but rather simply increases movement speed, otherwise this could be very easily abused.

  • My biggest problem with this ability is that it grants another champion stealth, which is too overpowered. This type of ability has been pitched time and time again, but there's way too many complications with this, including how broken someone's kit can become if they are granted stealth when they don't have their own stealth mechanic already included.

  • R: Noxian Eclipse

  • This ability needs to be completely changed for reasons I stated on your E.
