Airyk (pronounced like Eric) was a wealthy Demacian who lusted after power. After wedding the most beautiful woman Demacia had to offer and holding the second highest seat of power, below king Jarven himself, Airyk quickly grew bored with his political and monetary power and began to search for something more. Ultimately he wanted to become a god. He always heard tales of the Targonians and their connection with the gods, so he retired, and took his wife and money to Mt. Tagon. He studied with the Targonians, the Solari, and even humored the musings of the last Lunari. All to no avail.

He spent every last gold piece and gathered an army of men, the finest and most expensive technology Piltover had to offer, and his now expecting wife and began to climb the mountain. Everything was going smoother than expected, that is until a sudden and violent storm struck, freezing the machines solid and forcing the men to turn around, not willing to risk their lives for gold, but that didn't stop Airyk. Airyk pressed on, leaving his pregnant wife in the bone chilling storm to fend for herself as he pressed on against the seemingly impassable storm.

Airyk was on the brink of death before the storm suddenly fell silent. The light from the top of the mountain was beaming and as Airyk climbed higher, he began to hear the cries of a child. When he finally made it too the top he saw his wife, cold and lifeless, cradling their child. Airyk called out to the gods, at first, to save his wife, and then his pleading turned into anger as he demanded the power of the gods. As his screams echoed atop Targon, the child rose from her slumber and with a single cry, she blew away the clouds and knocked Airyk off of his feet.

Airyk took the child down the mountain, hiding her from the Targonians. His mind racing beyond all rational though. He couldn't take it, he was driven mad that the power he spent his entire life, his money, and his wife to obtain was in his hands yet still out of his reach. He kneeled down at a river and contemplated killing the child and eating her to try and take her power. It was then a voice echoed through his mind, a voice that calmed his madness.

"I do say, that is quite the sorry meal for someone of your... formerly, exquisite tastes. Perhaps I can offer you something more palatable in exchange." echoed the hulking demon that loomed over them. A deal was struck, the demon would give Airyk the powers of the child, in exchange for the child, with interest to be collected, later. The demon swallowed the child and coughed up an ornate music box before diving back into the river. Airyk turned the handle of the box and as the first note was struck, the trees around him buckled and fell to the ground. Airyk had finally done it, he held the voice of the gods themselves in his hands.

The demon however, did not eat the child, as Airyk had once thought. After spending well over a decade trekking, as a mad vagabond, back to Demacia, he heard it. The same sounds that resonated from his music box. It echoed through the great concert halls of Demacia, it was what everyone was talking about, the greatest musician Runeterra had ever heard. He clutched his box, and hid within the depths of the greatest stage in all of Demacia, waiting for his moment to kill that which rivaled his power, his own daughter, Sona.

Ranged Mage/Marksmen

Passive - Orchestra of Fate: Airyk's abilities share their cooldown. With every ability cast Airyk causes the next note of the music box to be struck, causing the next Act to take effect. Airyk's basic attacks reduce the cooldown of his basic abilities.

  • Act I: Magic damage is dealt to the next basic attack target.

  • Act II: Magic damage is dealt to all near by enemies, and even more magic damage is dealt to the next basic attack target.

  • Act III: Magic damage is dealt to all near by enemies and they are knocked back from Airyk. Airyk's next basic attack will deal true damage.

Q - Deafening Octave: Airyk turns the music box, dealing magic damage in a line, which stops at the first enemy champion in it's path. The first enemy champion struck by this ability is dealt magic damage, Silenced, and are Deafened for a few seconds. Deafened enemies are unaffected by all their ally's effects.

W - Demonic Overture: Airyk turns the music box, fueling his body, gaining bonus attack speed which deals a portion of his ability power as bonus magic damage with his basic attacks, for a few seconds. The more he attacks withing the duration of this ability, the more attack speed he gains, up to a cap.

E - Beneath the World's Stage: Airyk turns the music box, which tears a fissure beneath him, causing him to drop into the ground, becoming briefly untargetable before raising back up a second later. If any bushes are near Airyk, he may target the brush to reappear in them instead.

R - Finale of the Gods: Airyk violently turns the music box, and channels. As he is channeling the crystals of each Nexus will begin to resonate. Once the channel ends, the Naxuses will release a deafening wave of sound, which rapidly travels across the map, dealing magic damage, Silencing, and Deafening all enemy champions it hits. All three Acts are played twice, and his next basic attack will deal sizeable % max health true damage.
